| | Fears, Randall & Blessed Through Christ I Have Christ CD Fears, Randall & Blessed Through Christ Discography of CDs
'I Have Christ' is the sophomore project from Randall and BTC. It takes a neo-soul jazzy approach to a Christian theme. It's contemporary gospel that has the beat, the hook, the 808 bass kick and it is hot!"I write different styles because I love all types of music," says Fears. "I don't want us to be labeled as a certain type of group or genre. People love I Have Christ when we sing it live!"BTC is a Kansas City based ensemble that made their debut in 2005 with 'All the Praise'. The title cut was played nationally on gospel stations and has become a praise and worship favorite. Look for more music from Randall & BTC! 'Christmas Praise' will drop in late October 2007. I Have Christ album
$12.95 Getting right back to where they started from, Creed reunites for Full Circle, putting all tensions to rest and cutting their first album in eight years. FULL CIRCLE is a none-too-subtle allusion to how they're getting back to their beginnings, but a cynic could say they never got much past it, toiling the same weathered ground on each of their albums, but this bears some subtle differences, particularly in how Creed sounds heavier yet more open than they did in the past. While they're still delivered with the finesse of a hammer on a railroad spike, there's more air within the ballads, more skill in their attack, a looseness to their playing that allows them to take a stab at white-boy blues on the title track. "Full Circle" is one of several songs built on prominent acoustic guitar, an indication of the greater color palette here than on, say, HUMAN CLAY, and that lack of ...
| | Amy Grant Christmas Album CD (1983)
I Have Christ CD music
$10.95 At the age of 22, Amy Grant took another step in her career by issuing her first Christmas album in 1983. It was a logical-enough release for a Christian performer, but also one that suggested she was an established headliner, an artist whose versions of standards like "The Christmas Song" and "Little Town" (aka "O Little Town of Bethlehem") would be interesting to listeners because she was singing them. In her carefully planned march to mass popularity, the album represented at least one tentative outreach in a musical direction Grant would not pursue. The leadoff track, "Tennessee Christmas," found her husband and co-writer, Gary Chapman, playing a pedal steel guitar on a song that seemed intended to probe the country market and that actually earned some country radio play. But despite being a scion of the Nashville aristocracy (i.e., the wealthy families that long predated the rise of country music in the city), Grant was never really a country artist, and the rest of the album, cut at James William Guercio's Caribou Ranch studio complex, reflected the increasing influence of West Coast pop on her sound, with Los Angeles studio aces like Lenny Castro, Bill Champlin, Victor Feldman, Richard Page, and Dean Parks among the credits. Also increasing his influence was songwriter/keyboardist Michael W. Smith, who contributed such songs as "Emmanuel," a synthesizer-heavy pop/rock track that could have fit on one of Grant's regular albums. So could some of the other material, in fact. A Christmas Album was a record for the audience Grant had attracted with her 1982 breakthrough (and ...

| | Hee Haw Gospel Quartet CDs (2006)
I Have Christ album
$17.05 No kidding. Time Life has put together a fine 30-track, two-disc collection -- assembled from the original four on the Hee Haw label itself. Here are Grandpa Jones, Roy Clark, Buck Owens, and Kenny Price, moving through fine arrangements of gospel classics like "Dust on the Bible," "Shall We Gather at the River," "Just Over in Glory Land," "The Unclouded Day," "Amazing Grace," and "On the Jericho Road," just to name a few. These four cats could really sing together. And while it's true that the show was known for its cornpone humor, you'll find none of that here among these four musicians of stature and class. ~ Thom Jurek

$11.49 RANDY PARSONSBiographyRandy Parsons (a.k.a. Randall and Randall T. Parsons)Songwriter, acoustic and electric guitar, bass, vocalsRandy Parsons was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and spent his first two years on Signal Mountain outside the city. Despite his southern origins, however, he grew up in New England and spent his adult life in and around New York City. He now lives with his wife Patty in East Hampton, New York, 100 miles outside the city amongst the farm fields, fisherpeople, beaches and tourists of eastern Long Island.Randy began playing guitar and performing in bands in the 1960's. He grew up listening to the Beach Boys, the Beatles, Paul Simon, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, and the swirl of the 60's music revolution of those years. While in the background were the jazz and Broadway show records his parents were playing. Although Randy took lessons on the violin and piano, it was the guitar that resonated the most. And, although he has sung, played electric guitar and bass, he now concentrates on steel string acoustic guitar for writing and recording and an occasional performance. Randy studied music at the Juilliard School, New York University and the New School and did the NYC songwriters workshop circuit with Hugh Prestwood, Henry Gaffney, Jeff Franzel and Shirley Washington. He also studied lyric writing with Pat Pattison. He has performed solo and with a band in New England, New York and Los Angeles, including at the former Folk City (NYC), the Bitter End (NYC), the Stephen Talkhouse (Amagansett, New York) and Guild Hall (East Hampton, New York) and accompanied Grammy award winning songwriter Hugh Prestwood, on electric bass opening for Crystal Gayle. His greatest musical satisfaction today comes from writing songs, playing the guitar parts and recording with the talented session musicians and singers in and around New York: inlcuding Marlon Saunders; John Margolis; Lauren Coen; Ron D'Aigle; Nancy Atlas; George Wurzbach; Mike Mandel; Lorraine Ferro; Veronica Nunn; Johnny Blood; Rick Salter, Bill Frisbie John Tooker and Richie Rousch. Randy's songs are played on college and commercial radio in the US and abroad. He has three CD's: City and the Sky (1977); Right from the Start (1999), and; Go Ahead and Love Someone. (2002), two of which are currently available through Amazon or CDbaby . His songs are also available by the track at Apple ITunes, and at Broadjam . Randy is a member of TAXI, the Independent A&R company, NSAI, the Film Music Network, the Songwriters Guild and The National Academy of Popular Music. Randy's song 'Maybe I'm Running Away' was featured in ASCAP's Song to Song Showcase in New York in March of 1998; 'Sweet Motion' was given an Honorable Mention as one of 56 finalists out of 6000 entries in the 2003 CMT/NSAI song contest and, 'Morning Sky,' won first place ...
