 Good...But Could Be BETTER
This set is worthy of at least 3 stars. It could have been better if they added some Zombie (Rob OR White), some Ozzy, and the REAL Black Sabbath. Any thing with Ozzy Osbourne in the line-up is REAL Sabbath. Other than that it looks like a good set of music.

 An excelent cross-section of metal's history
First off, the boxed set is packaged in a case modeled after a Marshal amp. This, in itself makes this collection a must-have for metalheads of all ages! Second, the four-disc collection takes the listener on an abridged yet well-researched and organized history of heavy metal featuring mainstreem hits alongside some of the lesser-known cult classics which in some cases have been made famous by later bands. Only downer, the price tag is a little steep when you consider that many of the mainstreem hits can be found on all the major metal compilations. Overall, I'd say at a lower price this collection would be an excelent encyclopedia of metal for the newcomer and avid listerner alike.
