Shoot 'Em Up film Clive Owen (CHILDREN OF MEN) plays Smith, a man who is minding his own business and chomping on carrots when he is forced to try to save a pregnant woman in trouble. Shoot 'Em Up review After she is killed, he takes charge, keeping her newborn child safe from a snarling villain (Paul Giamatti, THE ILLUSIONIST). Shoot 'Em Up BRAY Aided by a prostitute (Monica Belluci, THE BROTHERS GRIMM), Smith shoots his way through the big city as he cradles the baby in his arms.

| A tremendous over the top action fest... Even from the beginning, "Shoot 'em Up" is a non-stop action thriller with sequences as original as "Crank" but with a little more subtle humor (there were seemingly endless uses of a carrot) and a lot more fantastic sequences. And with the benefit of high definition (blu-ray only) and DTS-master audio, the movie is even better with a home theatre system than at the cineplex. Acting is far from Oscar worthy, but isn't expected for a film of this caliber; for those looking for a complex, developed plot and heart-warming "awwww" moments throughout, look for one of the oscar-nominated movies that most people can't stand watching. | A very wild movie worth watching! This movie was over the top, very wild, and I loved every minute of it! If you love action movies and don't mind it being over the top, I highly recommend this. I kept wondering how Smith would escape the villains, out-gun the villains, and all the trouble he goes through protecting the baby, who is later named Oliver in the movie. Michael Davis is an excellent writer and director and I think he is a very intelligent gentleman. I loved the lines, the gunfights were fun to watch and I thought they were cleverly orchestrated. Clive Owens was perfect for the role of "Smith." I couldn't wait to hear what he hated, how he handled the bad guys, and it was funny whenever he used his carrot as a weapon. Paul Giamatti portrayed a creepy and intelligent villain that made me nervous. He was the perfect foil for the character Smith. Monica Bellucci is a prostitute that transforms into a character that also protects the baby and becomes a caring mother. By Avery (Quincy, IL USA) This review is for a different format. |
| NOT BAD It's ok as an action movie, it a little ridiculous at points but is cool none the less. It's more funny than I thought it would be. good buy By SMOKE (SPAIN) This review is for a different format. |
| I love carrots! Clive Owen again is incredible in this pulp action film. I loved the photography and the action. It was a little over the edge on the body count. Sorta like "Commando" was with Arnold. But it was well filmed and executed. Thanks By scuba1061 (Gilbert, AZ, USA) This review is for a different format. |
| This role is so Clive owen!Stick with action!!! This movie's perfect for Clive owen.Ever since Sin city I thought that he'd be a great action star, and I was right. My only complaint is his bad attitude. He kind of has a big chip on his shoulder in this movie, and is not a very confident person,so hence that makes a very cr!ppy role model for anybody. So other than that I loved the action, and the storyline was okay. But everyone know's action movie's are about action. The storyline don't have to be really deep.Just blood, and explosions.SO I'd like to see a sequal I just hope they fix his attitude a bit on that one...
