Leipjazzig Orkester album
$18.99 The Full Moon Express was a progressive bluegrass band from New Jersey. The band played during the mid 1970’s 80’s and 90’s mostly performed in southern New Jersey, Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties with a few concerts out of state. A group of friends, from Holy Cross High School started the band sometime after they graduation in 1971.At the heart of the band was Jim Frazer on his Stelling banjo, and on selected songs Jim also played the dobro.Tim Henry was the bands lead vocalist, playing mandolin as well as guitar.Mike Boland played rhythm guitar and fiddle.Dennis Boland played lead guitar. Larry Marsh played bass and sang backup vocals.David Walsh also sang lead vocals, backup vocals, played rhythm guitar and sometimes mandolin when Tim was playing guitar on selected songs. Songs from the Dillards, Flatt & Scruggs, tunes like Foggy Mountain Break down, Red Haired Boy and Cripple Creek were among the groups play list. We also re-arranged contemporary songs into a bluegrass style; “I’ve Just See A Face” from the Beetles, “Amie”, “Friend of the Devil”, “Mr. Spaceman” and many other pop tunes of that era.Not many bands stay together for ...
