Milla Jovovich is back to kill more zombies in the third chapter of the hit Resident Evil franchise! An action/horror film filled with huge special effects and edge-of-your-teat terror! Survivors of the Raccoon City catastrophe travel across the Nevada desert hoping to make it to Alaska. Alice (Jovovich) joins the caravan and their fight against the evil Umbrella Corp. Las Vegas means fun in the sun...well at least the sun is still there. Except for a few rusting landmarks it looks pretty much like the rest of the desrt - or the whole country for that matter. The crowds are now flesh-eating zombies: the mass undead the oozing terrifying sludge of what remains. Here the newly upgraded Alice along with her crew will make a final stand against evil - with one goal: to turn the undead...dead again. Runtime 94 minutes. Rated R. It's three years after the action of RESIDENT EVIL: APOCALYPSE, and the world has turned to desert in this third film based on the now-classic video game RESIDENT EVIL. Survivors of the zombie-making T-virus are few and far between, but Alice (Milla Jovovich) treks her way across the desolate landscape, fending off zombies and fighting the Umbrella Corporation. Not only is the company responsible for the virus and the state of the world, but their experiments also turned Alice into a super-human fighting machine. She reunites with Carlos (Oded Fehr) and L.J. (Mike Epps) when she joins with a caravan of people led by Claire Redfield (Ali Larter, HEROES). Together, the band battles the undead as they make their way to the promised safety of Alaska.
The zombies of RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION have more in common with the fast-moving fiends of 28 DAYS LATER than with the lumbering creatures of George Romero's classic NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD. However, this film doesn't limit itself to human zombies; instead, there's horror to be found in undead dogs and crows. But none of these are any match for Jovovich's Alice. Whether clad in chaps and short shorts or a slinky red dress and boots, Jovovich is dressed to kill as she takes down the zombie hordes with a lethal combination of guns, knives, and a powerful pair of legs. Just as in ULTRAVIOLET and THE FIFTH ELEMENT, the actress has perfected the role of the dangerous beauty, and this film's blend of butt-kicking action and horror-movie scares provides the perfect opportunity for her to shine. Resident Evil: Extinction Video Resident Evil: Extinction Movie Review Slam Dunk! Another awesome series in the Resident Evil Trilogy. I tuly can see more and more happneing for at least a total of six in the series.
A TV series would not be out of the question.
The photography, CG and details of the infected were outstanding. Submitted by scuba1061 (Gilbert, AZ, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful. This review is for a different format.
Great Zombie/Monster Action Fest! This movie was great. I liked it much better than the first two. It had the creepiest, scariest zombies in the series so far, and some very interesting twists. They really made you feel like it was the end of the world in this movie. The action scenes were excellent! This movie had hordes of flesh-eating zombies, monster dogs, flocks of killer crows, and the obligatory boss monster at the end. The ending also left you with the knowledge of more ass-kicking to come and wanting to know what will happen next. If you liked the first two Resident Evil films, you will definitely like this one. I still feel this way! Allthought I still think this is the greatest movie of 2007 I also think it was still too slow paced but with some great moments I love Resident Evil movies and I especially love Milla Jovovich's acting It just seemed to be a bridge for a fourth Resident Evil movie! Which I hope there will be a fourth one with Milla playing alice and also I would really love to see Sienna Guillory play Jill Valentine in a fourth Resident Evil movie! Resident Evil: Extinction film
$11.35 The lovely Milla Jovovitch is back with a vengeance as amnesiac, genetically-altered zombie ass-kicker, Alice, in this sequel to the 2002 hit film, which is based on the video game. This time around the sinister Umbrella Corporation sends a team of investigators into their destroyed underground lab (the ground-zero of carnage in the previous film) and unwittingly unleash the still-staggering zombies and monsters out into the population of Raccoon City. Soon Umbrella has evacuated all of their own ...

Resident Evil: Extinction film
$10.65 The third film in the UNDERWORLD saga goes back hundreds of years to explain the origins of the feud between the vampire Death Dealers and the werewolf Lycans. Taking over directing duties from Len Wiseman is rookie Patrick Tatoupolos, known for his creature-designing duties in GODZILLA (1998), I AM LEGEND (2007), and the first two films in this series. Less an action-horror film than an old-fashioned "sword-and-sandal" film with monsters, RISE OF THE LYCANS finally gets to the root of why those vampires and werewolves really can't stand each other. Ruled ...

Resident Evil: Extinction review
$9.79 Based on the comic book series by Mike Mignola, Guillermo del Toro's gleefully eccentric film follows the supernatural adventures of Hellboy (Ron Perlman), a cigar-chomping, horn-filing demonic hero enlisted by an occult scholar (John Hurt) to fight evil in the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense. Along with the fire-throwing Liz Sherman (Selma Blair) and the amphibious psychic Abe Sapien (Doug Jones, with the voice of David Hyde Pierce), Hellboy is joined by new recruit John Myers (Rupert Evans), a squeaky-clean ...

Resident Evil: Extinction film
$10.99 Although the artwork in the opening credits would lead you to believe otherwise, writer/director Kurt Wimmer (EQUILIBRIUM) reportedly based ULTRAVIOLET not on a comic book but on John Cassavetes's 1980 film GLORIA, in which a woman must protect a young boy who is carrying some information sought by the Mafia. In ULTRAVIOLET's mid-21st century, a virus has turned part of the earth's population into "hemophages," vampire-like creatures with heightened speed and dexterity, and a fascist government is intent on stamping them out. Enter Violet (Milla Jovovich), a hemophage determined to fight for her people. Her battle takes an unexpected turn, however, when she finds herself protecting Six (Cameron Bright), a mysterious young child who was raised in ...

$11.19 Director and screenwriter Preston A. Whitmore II (THE WALKING DEAD) captures the phenomenon of streetball and brings it to the big screen in this tale about two old friends whose lives seem very different. Tech's (Anthony Mackie) dream is to play basketball, but he isn't quite right for the NBA and he can't play college ball since he served time in his senior year and is studying for the GED. Instead, he plays the occasional game in an abandoned Detroit train station and hustles players all around the city with his friend Up (Lil J.J.) for quick cash. Meanwhile, his best buddy, Cruise (Wesley Jonathan), is a talented player who has been sweet-talked by agents and left with nothing--except the realization that education is everything. He's counting on a basketball scholarship to a California university and a career in medicine--rather than his ball-playing ability--as the key to his future.
Life becomes more complicated when Cruise repays a favor to Tech and puts his scholarship at risk by playing streetball on his pal's team in a game arranged by Vaughn (Wayne Brady), a former sports agent. Amazed by what he sees on the court, Vaughn is soon trying to woo Cruise with NBA promises, much to the delight of his new girlfriend, Vanessa (Eva Pigford, winner of AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL), who can only see dollar signs. When the unthinkable happens, Cruise and Tech learn that they are not that different after all, and that their friendship can withstand ...
