Miroir album
$13.39 Pink Martini follow the around-the-world-in-a-dozen-songs thrills of HEY EUGENE! with SPLENDOR IN THE GRASS, a mellower, simpler set of small pleasures. These are relative terms, however; the group's music is still well-traveled, with China Forbes singing in five languages (English, Spanish, Neapolitan, French, and Italian) instead of the six or so on EUGENE!. However, Pink Martini opt for a more unified sound here, one that draws on the more straightforward lounge-pop of their debut, SYMPATHIQUE, and the mellowness of '60s and '70s pop. SPLENDOR IN THE GRASS' first half is especially smooth, opening with the beautifully soft Neapolitan ballad "Ninna Nanna" and the title track, on which Forbes sings "I think we should take it ...

| | Richard Harris Macarthur Park CD (1997)
Miroir songs
$11.19 MACARTHUR PARK goes beyond the famous hit title track to explore the recorded work of stage and screen actor Richard Harris, including his versions of "Paper Chase" and "Name Of My Sorrow."
This CD reissue from England is almost (but not quite) identical to Raven Records' Richard Harris: The Webb Sessions 1968-69 from Australia, combining the contents of the albums A Tramp Shining and The Yard Went on Forever. The difference is the absence of the last Richard Harris-Jimmy Webb collaboration, "One of the Nicer Things," which appeared as a free-standing single in 1969. Alan Hodgson's annotation is slightly less informative than the notes by Jimmy Webb on the Raven CD. On the other hand, this disc is also about $3-$5 cheaper, so budget-minded fans may appreciate it. As for the sound, it is superior to any of the LP versions of A Tramp Shining, with Webb's reliance on stereo separation for important timbral effects coming through bright and sharp throughout -- a small, muted string orchestra coming up opposite an electric guitar and bass on one ...
| | Claude Challe Buddha-Bar, Vol. II CDs
Miroir album
$40.49 Claude Challe's Buddha-Bar, Vol. II compilation has elements of Far Eastern spirituality, African song, European electronica, and Spanish spice. The first album, Buddha-Bar, is very mellow for the most part. Deepak Chopra and Demi Moore, far and away the most recognizable names on the album, do a spoken word ditty on love and self-worth. People who ...

| | Freehand Thinking Out Loud CD (1997)
Miroir music CDs
$12.55 Freehand used to play Happy the Man, U.K., and King Crimson covers and these influences clearly show in their songs. If you like fusion guitar, quirky keys, cosmic synths, complex time signatures, melodic and creative basslines then you'll enjoy Freehand. "RH Factor" is the song most likely to please HTM fans with saxophone included. "Camels Dance" is also a HTM-inspired song. I picked up S.F.F.'s "Symphonic Pictures" coming thru in that one as well. That Kit Watkins otherworldly carousel ride is spinning away on these pieces. Even a taste of Jean Luc Ponty composition graces "Mirkwood"-only lacking Ponty's violin. Adrian Belew era Crimson is all over the place. "Mastodon" vocals and stampeded-loud guitars shout blatant Belew/Crimson and it's all crazy fun. Musicianship is flawless, creative, passionate, ballsy, and precise. Robert Howerton and David Bollinger are excellent guitars and decent vocals. Bollinger also does keys. ...

| | MR E Huddled CD (2002)
Miroir album
$6.69 someone told me what we do is Americana , well thats alright with me"....Mr.E(songwriter)"out of all of life's Mr. E's , there is only one mystery(songwriter)""A mystery is something which we know that it is ,we just don't know how it is"..... unknownjune 15th 2006 Northeast In-Tune magazine With music ranging the entire musical gamut, from Country and western to Alternative, Mr. E (songwriter) and the totally obscure band have achieved what very few bands have ever attempted. With seven albums in their repertoire their success is obvious. They have preformed in numerous venues and achieved many accommodations including three ASCAP Plus Awards for the 2004/2005 period for domestic writers. Their unique Dylan-esque vocals and beautiful music make for a unique blend of composition. In 'Christmas Time' the joy of one day's effect on people and the world as a whole is rejoiced in tender loving lyrics. 'Ever been lonely' is a bluesy heartbreak song with fabulous harmonica and guitar riffs. 'It's all about me' has a country flavor with a little blues background to flavor the narcissistic lyrics. 'Mourn for the City' is reminiscent of some of U2's sad introspection about the human condition. The variety of genres that Mr. E (Songwriter) and the totally obscure band touch on makes their music unique and definitive. Though little is know about the individual members of Mr. E (Gregg Christiansen; guitars, keyboards, vocals, Michael Ryan; rhythm guitar, harmonica and vocals, Richard Ord; bass guitar, percussion and vocals, Rolfe Newton; drums and percussion) their musical value is obvious. Aside from the ASCAP Plus awards they have also achieved a tribute on EBANDS for their moving song 'Winds of War' (a tribute to the soldiers over seas), and varied invitations to perform at multinational concerts. A stunning set of musical ambassadors destined for great things. reviewed by Kathleen Sharkey Northeast In-Tune magazine june 15th 2006Mr. E(songwriter)'s vacation song is now available as a ringtone at the bottom of his page at nashville north productions All of Mr. E (songwriter) & the totally obscure bands songs have been digitized and are now available at your favorite digital download site ie: apple itunesapril 15,2006 Mr. E(songwriter) & the totally obscure band 's song "ever been lonely" gets honorable mention in 13th annual BILLBOARD WORLD SONG CONTEST 2005..."This letter is to express our congratulations on your songs' success by placing in the Honorable Mention catagory.
