Framing Armageddon:Something Wicked Par CD music
$10.15 From its very conception, Necromis has been a whirlwind of sonic diversity and mayhem. Blending styles of new and old musical forms, the band took a small chunk of the metal music scene in the Twin Cities and turned it into a monster. With earth-shattering speed and mind numbing, thunderous grooves mixed into one, Necromis was on the way to becoming the kind of legendary band that comes around but once in a lifetime. Waves of musical magic poured out upon the crowds everywhere they went. Not a soul was left untouched by the power that emitted from the stage. And thus, an enormous fan base was created that swept over the tri-state area like a plague. It all started in a little Minnesota town named Hugo. The founding three members Greg Chilton, Aaron Davis, and Jason Notebaart were at a party in a local park. Across the street from the park was the local cemetery. While having consumed more than their fair share of fine malt beverages, they wandered into the tombstone littered plot of land. They needed to come up with a good name for the band they had thought about working on, and it wasn't coming to them. So, with a bit of luck, divine inspiration came about. Necromis was the name that stood out more than any other. The concept of "The god of the dead" that plotted to overthrow hell and spread the world with zombies to take over everything in his path seemed rather enticing. Given the three were, and still are, giant horror genre film buffs, they went with it due to the possibilities that existed to display the kind of sick and twisted visuals that needed to be included via advertising, clothing and whatever else that could be "zombified". After the first step, things started to pick up speed. The "snow ball effect" landed the boys two prizes that would end up being crucial to the foundation that was built. The blistering drumming of Tony Olson and the divine melodies of Dan Lerach . Fortunately for Necromis, these two priceless pieces of the puzzle became available and the nefarious five man-wrecking machine was about to turn on the ignition. At a torrid pace, the boys sawed through show after show after show. Playing with such acts as Megadeth, Rigor Mortis, Cannibal Corpse, Grave, Unleashed, Carcass, Fleshgrind, Malevolent Creation, just to name a few. The years that followed that fateful evening in Hugo were a blur and a wonder to behold. The local scene was flourishing at the time as well with such acts as Cryogen, Cromlech and Horror. It was a great time to be an underground metal fan in the Twin Cities. The ...

Framing Armageddon:Something Wicked Par album
$18.99 About Black Prince Black Prince’s new CD “No, Youthman, No!” is released on his label, Master Peace Records. The CD conveys a message regarding the human condition: law and order, infidelity, teenage pregnancy, broken love, neighbour and parent/child relationships. Black Prince conveys his messages by singing tenderly of love and loss, joy and sorrow. He wrote and performed all the songs and music on this CD. As well as “No, Youthman, No!” Black Prince has completed three, fourteen-track albums. One is a Reggae CD called “Peace Train”. Another is a Rhythmic Soul CD called “Crazy Love,” The third is an album of love songs called “It’s All About Us.” Black Prince aims to release two singles between Christmas 2006 and Easter of 2007. In “Cool Down, Bad Boys,” he delivers a message to the youths engaged in gang warfare. In “Peace Train,” taken from the album of the same name, his concerns are with the prevalence of knives, guns and drugs among vulnerable youths in Jamaica’s local communities. So who is Black Prince? Born in 1951, and originally known in the business as “Roy Powell”, Black Prince’s journey has taken him through a long, winding road from his birthplace in Lennox Bigwoods, Westmoreland, to the bright lights of Kingston in pursuit of his dream in the music industry. Along the way he has overcome the effects of polio, mastered many musical instruments and styles, apprenticed as a music engineer, produced recorded music shows, and mentored rising singers, dancers and musicians. Now he is taking a step further to launch his career as a songwriter, singer and producer. Black Prince’s musical career spans a number of genres, and took him through many places, and experiences. The Crooks Brothers first introduced him to the business in 1966, at the age of 14. He toured Jamaica with them for four years as a Rumba Box player in their band. With some experience behind him, at the age of 18, he felt confident enough to leave the band and he moved to Kingston. During his musical ...
