Featuring robust boom-bap production specked with Rick Ruben-style guitar licks, dirtball-electro synth flourishes, and Slim's hipster-geek boasting, TASTEMAKER cuts a swath across various underground styles. The album's break-out single, "Girls Kiss Girls," is a silly yet infectious shot of good-times sex rap that guarantees Slim's immediate popularity if not long-term creative legitimacy.
