(2 Customer Reviews)
PART 2 of this 2Pac greatest-hits collection, which was assembled in coordination with Pac's mother, Afeni Shakur, combines some of the iconic rapper's earliest solo material ("Brenda's Got a Baby") with his best-known hits ("Keep Your Head Up") and a healthy dose of posthumously released cuts ("Ghetto Gospel," "Never Call U Bitch Again," "Still Ballin'"). LIFE also features the original solo version of "Thugz Mansion," as well as the previously unreleased track "Dopefiend's Diner," which finds Pac's flow mimicking the Suzanne Vega favorite "Tom's Diner." This album, together with part 1: THUG should appeal to both casual Pac fans as well as diehards like myself. I again appreciate so many classic tracks on the same disc, as well as remixes of lesser-known tracks such as When I get Free and personally, I'm happy to have NAS off of Thugz Mansion. Dopefiend's Diner was the real treat though; Pac sings! the whole track! Awesome, just awesome.. hadn't even heard it before, and I thought I'd heard it all. Thank you Afeni, everyone BUY THIS ALBUM and support the Tupac Centre for the Arts.

A second rate greatest hits This Cd has two parts "Thug" and "Life" so why didnt they make thug have all the hardcore tracks showing his thug side and life having tracks like dear mama & unconditional love, I thought thats how they would do it, I'm sure thats how pac would have wanted it but who knows (RIP!), anyway, I thought it was tight that theres a couple new tracks (Last tracks on both CD's) but they re-used alot of the songs off his classic Greatest Hits album (which I thought was much better) so if your a Pac fan & wanna complete your collection cop-it but if you dont have the money get the Greatest Hits instead or burn it since its very easy to find all these tracks! Dont get me wrong this is a 5 star album but I give it 2 for the simple fact that its lacking new material and resembles the greatest hits CD too much. 2Pac for life! RIP Pac & Easy! | | Pretty Ricky Bluestars CD (2005)
Best Of 2pac Part 2: Life CD music
$10.09 "Get You Right," a smooth throwback ballad from Miami outfit Pretty Ricky's debut, BLUESTARS, features a hardcore rap that name-checks 1990s groups H-Town and Jodeci. While the four youthful brothers of Pretty Ricky were likely in grade school when these artists had their hits, it's a fitting reference; the quartet's sound reveals an innate feel for the New Jack Swing sound of that time. This approach is evident in both the record's production and its raw sensuality, and the overall vibe is updated with a Dirty South sensibility.
Pretty Ricky features three rappers--Slick, Spectacular, and Diamond--augmented by the resonant voice of Pleasure, whose alluring style falls somewhere between Stevie Wonder and R. Kelly. The subject matter of BLUESTARS tends toward that of the latter (but often ...
| | R Kelly TP.3: Reloaded CD (2005) Bonus DVD; Limited Edition
Best Of 2pac Part 2: Life music CDs
$8.99 The rest of the album provides thirteen tracks of Kelly's typically strong and sensual modern R&B. He starts off the record with a reminder that he's far from a one-note artist, coming on as hard as anyone with the anthemic single "Playa's Club," then rolls into a 1970s groove with help from the always-spectacular Snoop Dogg on "Happy Summertime," before easing into a set of slow jams highlighted by the lusty "In the Kitchen" and the breezy "Slow Wind." As much as R. Kelly can't seem ...

Best Of 2pac Part 2: Life CD music
$12.79 This second album by Miami (by way of Haiti) rapper Rick Ross is one of the most hotly anticipated sophomore releases of the year. This collection is a more than respectable follow-up to his monster debut. The album--produced by J-Rock, the Runners, Cool & Dre, and others--features the hit single "Speedin'," with guest singer R. Kelly.
Two years after the Trick Daddy protégé hit the ...

Best Of 2pac Part 2: Life music CDs
$9.59 San Francisco singer/songwriter Greg Dunkailo (dun-kye-lo) is a Kentucky native turned Californian, bringing with him a touch of middle-American Rock straight from the rust-belt. Greg was raised in Newport, Kentucky, a former industrial city across the river from Cincinnati, Ohio. Roaming the streets of a working-class neighborhood, Greg gained first-hand knowledge of the highs and lows of blue-collar life. He credits his upbringing for his strong work-ethic and optimistic writing style. "I've seen ...

Best Of 2pac Part 2: Life album
$10.15 If you took a look at some of today's hottest solo rap artist, put them in a group, and then added some hot R&B singers, you would have "Tyghtwork". There is no talent wasted here, each member is a star in his or her own right and can achieve success as a solo artist but, as a group they are three times as deadly and will be burning up the charts soon. Whether it's "Gangsta Rap", "Hot R&B", "Playa Rap" or "Political Rap", they have the unique ability to flip the technique and flow with the best of them. The difference you ask? They live what they write, sing and rap ...
