Additional Footage; Soundtrack English; Soundtrack French; Soundtrack Spanish; English Subtitles; Director's Comments This big-screen adaptation of LAND OF THE LOST stars Will Ferrell as Dr. Rick Marshall, a quantum paleontologist who has been discredited in the scientific world due to his strident belief in time travel as the cure for all of humanity's problems. After hitting an all-time low (giving a lecture to elementary-school kids), Dr. Marshall meets an ambitious young scientist named Holly (Anna Friel), who tells him she has followed all his work and believes he's a genius. Spurred on by her enthusiasm, he finishes building the device that will allow him to time travel--something he promptly does along with Holly and fireworks salesman Will (Danny McBride), who leads them into a cave that seems like a promising place to test the new machine. Ending up in a world full of dinosaurs and scary, lizard-like creatures known as Sleestaks, the trio quickly lose the machine that brought them to this alternate universe. And if they ever want to return home, they must recover it with the help of Chaka (Jorma Taccone), the monkey-like friend they make in this strange place. Land Of The Lost Reviews: 3 stars out of 4 -- "The film involves a gloriously preposterous premise, set in a series of cheerfully fake landscapes which change at the whim of the art director."-- Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times Land Of The Lost | List Price | $29.98 (You save $6.59) | | Studio | Universal Studios Home Video | | Orig Year | 2009 | | DVD Encoding | Region 1 | | All Time Sales Rank | 30212 | | CD Universe Part number | 7547755 | | Catalog number | 61104715 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Oct 13, 2009 | | Rating | PG-13 (MPAA) | | Running Time | 60 Minutes | | Additional Info | Widescreen; Dubbed; Subtitled | | Movie Details | Color; Widescreen; Dubbed; Subtitled |

Land Of The Lost review
$9.69 The grisly and debauched film PATHOLOGY is a juiced-up medical thriller that plays like FLATLINERS with a mean streak and a broken moral compass. Writers Mark Nelvedine and Brian Taylor have created a premise allowing for CSI-like forensics along with heaps of sex and violence, truly making the most of the film's R-rating. A high-end exploitation film with good performances, PATHOLOGY is strong enough for horror fans and should go down smoothly for non-squeamish viewers with a taste for the dark side.
Gifted med student Ted Grey (Milo Ventimiglia, HEROES) arrives at a major Washington, D.C., as an intern, where he is met with suspicion and resentment by the tightly knit group of fellow young pathologists-in-training. Soon, though, Ted is accepted into their circle---where they each take turns committing a murder so that the others may prove their mettle by figuring out the cause of death and celebrate with drug-fueled orgies among the dead bodies in the hospital. Things change for Ted, though, when his law student fiancée, Gwen (Alyssa Milano), moves to the city and helps to scare him straight. Soon, crazed Wallace Stevens-quoting leader Jake Gallo (Michael Weston) turns on Ted, putting both Ted's and Gwen's lives in serious jeopardy. The film opens with the Hippocratic Oath, and it's easy to tell ...

$13.55 Marcel Langenegger makes his feature-film directorial debut with the aptly titled DECEPTION, a film about secrets and lies. Jonathan McQuarry (Ewan McGregor) feels that life is passing him by. He completes short-term audits for a large firm, but doesn't really feel any connection to his employer and finds it difficult to make friends at his assignments since he's never there for long. Jonathan's circumstances change overnight when charming lawyer Wyatt Bose (Hugh Jackman) befriends him. In an instant, the shy accountant is playing doubles tennis with his new friend and beautiful women and visiting upscale clubs. Just as mild-mannered Jonathan is getting used to his new lifestyle, Wyatt leaves town on business. When Jonathan finds himself mistakenly in possession of Wyatt's cell phone, he also discovers a whole new world of anonymous sex in elite Manhattan hotels with powerful women known simply as "The List." But soon Jonathan is in over his head: he's the prime suspect when a woman goes missing, and the threat of extortion looms.

$23.39 After nearly two decades of successful detours into mature thrillers (THE GIFT, A SIMPLE PLAN) and superhero blockbusters (the Spider-Man series), director Sam Raimi returns--full tilt--to his scrappy horror roots with DRAG ME TO HELL. Alison Lohman stars as Christine Brown, a soft-spoken Southern girl with a good heart, a PhD-toting boyfriend (Justin Long), and a job as a loan officer at a bank just outside of Los Angeles. When evicting a vile and negligent old woman named Mrs. Ganush (Lorna Raver) seems to be the only way to secure an important promotion, Christine pushes her moral flexibility about as far as it can go (not very far at all) only to dearly pay the price as the recipient of a rather nasty curse. The next three days of Christine’s life amount to an unimaginable endurance test in which she is subject to physical and psychological torture while a terrifying demon draws ever closer to take her to hell, where she would burn for eternity.
Raimi manages ...

Land Of The Lost video
$23.45 After PRIDE AND PREJUDICE and ATONEMENT, Keira Knightley continues her reign as the queen of the period film with this 18th-century costume drama. The corset-clad actress stars as Georgiana Spenser, the Duchess of Devonshire. With her marriage to the duke (Ralph Fiennes), Georgiana achieves an impressive level of fame as Britons follow both her clothing style and her political advice. But even celebrity and wealth can't act as a salve in her marriage to the boring, boorish duke. When he begins to flaunt his affairs, Georgiana is tempted to return to a teenage crush, Charles Grey (Dominic Cooper of THE HISTORY BOYS), to the anger of her husband and her mother (Charlotte Rampling, SWIMMING POOL).
Fiennes's portrayal of the duke ranks roughly with his Lord Voldemort on a scale of beastly behavior, but the acclaimed actor manages to give him a level of humanity that far surpasses what he deserves. THE DUCHESS focuses on the lack of power possessed by Georgiana and, in fact, all women of her time, and the duke is ...

Land Of The Lost film
$21.45 Adapting a subtle, treasured novel is no enviable task. Yet it's that admittedly mammoth undertaking that is at the core of the success or failure of THE MYSTERIES OF PITTSBURGH, director Rawson Marshall Thurber's film version of Michael Chabon's debut novel. As a book, MYSTERIES masterfully builds upon the rich tradition of coming-of-age novels through a combination of unique characters, a simple yet intriguing plot, and a quiet celebration of the hidden delights (the "mysteries," if you will) of a small city. Thurber, who also wrote the screenplay, takes huge liberties in reworking the source material--the story of Art Bechstein (Jon Foster), the son of a known gangster, and his conflicting love for two of his bohemian friends (one a woman, the other a man) in the summer following his college graduation--and in the process creates a film that is a mere shadow of the novel on which it was based. Working with a varied cast of novice and more experienced actors (Sienna Miller, Mena Suvan, Nick Nolte, Peter Sarsgaard), Thurber does his best to recreate the melancholic wonder of falling in love, grappling with the expectations of family, and adjusting to one's adult skin, ...

| | Singh is Kinng
Land Of The Lost video
Prolific Bollywood writer Anees Bazmee, quickly earning a reputation as a director of comedy hits (NO ENTRY), brings back WELCOME's good-looking duo of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in another comic action soufflé, SINGH IS KINNG. Kumar turns in a winning performance as the accident-prone but goodhearted klutz Happy Singh. His fellow Punjabi villagers, sick of his destructive mistakes, send him on a fool's errand to bring home gangster Lucky Singh (Sonu Sood), a former neighbor now giving the village a bad name as the king of the Australian underworld. Having arrived down under, Happy befriends a woman who sells roses, temporarily replaces Lucky as the crime boss, and sets up an elaborate deception designed to convince the flower-seller's daughter that her mother owns all of the hotels, clubs, and real estate that are actually Lucky's.
Kumar carries the film with obvious enjoyment. He gets able support from veteran actors Om Puri as Rangeela, a friend (and enemy) from Happy's village, and Kirron Kher as the flower lady. Location shooting in Egypt as well as Australia ensures picturesque ...
