Assassination Of songs
$10.49 There's no shortage of legendary producers in line to work with music world titans U2; when work with Rick Rubin broke off, Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois stepped in. The resulting NO LINE ON THE HORIZON, 2009's offering from the Irish rockers, continues in the grand U2 tradition, as soaring pop anthems like opening single "Get on Your Boots" pair with experimental melanges like "Tripoli," on a striking album featuring touches of all the albums come before, yet hinting at new worlds for Bono to conquer.

Assassination Of CD music
$13.15 Daron Moore was born in Willingboro, New Jersey where he resided with his mother until the sixth grade. Daron split his time between mother and father for the next four years. Finally, when he reached tenth grade, he moved to New Castle, Delaware to live with his father. It was Daron's older brother David that introduced him to hip-hop. David was rapping in the early eighties as a teenager in high school, while Daron was still in elementary school. Every chance he received Daron would join his brother listening to early rap pioneers on WBLS (when it came in clear). Later Daron began his own journey into the road of hip-hop. He started building his own music collection by recording a weekly rap show in the Philadelphia area, Street Beat. By middle school Daron was freestyling with some of his friends. In high school Daron began battling other rappers during lunch time cypha sessions and began developing a name for himself. It was during these final years in high school that Daron began to develop a true relationship with God. He began attending a local community church with some of his friends. It was here that Daron began to realize his call to the ministry. Soon he began teaching Sunday School and preaching on several occasions. During this time he still embraced secular music. For college Daron decided to move from Delaware to attend Norfolk State University. During this time he stayed with his Aunt who served as a great spiritual influence in his life. It was his Aunt Eileen who caused him to understand that if he wanted a successful walk with God, he would have to listen to music that would "bless his soul". He soon threw away his entire collection of hip-hop tapes. Soon Daron began freestyling again, ...

Assassination Of CD music
$35.49 Before T. Rex were the U.K. kings of glitter-era rock, they were a folk- and mythology-inspired duo with a quirky yet charming style not unlike the Incredible String Band. Before that, leader Marc Bolan was a member of the psychedelic mods John's Children. This six-disc set covers all phases of Bolan's career, drawn from jam sessions, BBC radio broadcasts, fan club releases, live and private recordings, and more! Finally, one of the discs is a DVD with very rare live footage.
Five discs' worth of largely unreleased music, a DVD of super-rare concert footage, a nine-song excerpt from DJ John Peel's last-ever broadcast for pirate Radio London, and the chance to hear what Tyrannosaurus Rex was doing during Woodstock weekend -- all that and more recommends A Whole Zinc of Finches to the world and, if the contents may be a little arcane for all but the most dedicated collector, still it's impossible to overstate their importance. The Peel broadcast opens the box, excerpting the DJ's all-night show by isolating Marc Bolan's own contributions to the proceedings, with Peel's own intros and outros intact. From there we move into a solid 24 songs' worth of demos and works in progress, painstakingly avoiding any duplication with the bonus-stacked reissues of the band's own albums, but still serving up some magical performances. Two discs' worth of live recordings follow, the first highlighting shows at the London Lyceum and Queen Elizabeth Hall in early 1969 (the only portion of the package to have seen prior release), the second from the Cafe au Go Go in New York, in August of the same year. The sound quality is shaky throughout, and one awaits the day a recording surfaces ...
