$9.69 Based on a story by STAR WARS creator George Lucas, WILLOW is director Ron Howard's fantasy world of medieval adventure. WILLOW stars Val Kilmer as Madmartigan, a swashbuckling warrior, and Warwick Davis as the title character. In a mythical kingdom, the evil sorceress Queen Bavmorda (Jean Marsh) plots to kill all infants so that the newborn princess, Elora, will never take over the throne. But a midwife sets the baby adrift in a river, and she is rescued by Willow, a farmer in Nelwyn, a peaceful village of trolls, fairies, and little folk. Willow and Madmartigan begin a quest to deliver the baby from evil while being chased by Queen Bavmorda's daughter, Sorsha (Joanne Whalley), sent to bring the baby back to Nockmaar. | | Drones - Further Temptations DVD (1996)
Gang Busters - Vol. 1-3 film
$20.99 Playing the pub circuit under the name of Rockslide in the days leading up to punk rock, the Drones were among the first to take up the emerging genre and embrace it wholeheartedly. In 1976 they emerged at the forefront of the Manchester punk scene, as talented musicians who captured the energy and the raw power of the movement. With singles like "Temptations of a White Collar Worker," "Bone Idol," and "Just Wanna Be Myself," they developed a hard-driving, speed-laced sound that garnered them quite a following; this led to sharing the stage with the likes of The Stranglers and XTC. Disbanding in 1980, the group came together again in the mid-1990s to record a new album. Collected here are highlights from their 1996 UK tour, including shows at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, and the Pavilion in Bath. The set list includes "Corgi Crap," "Persecution ...

| | Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street DVD (2007) Widescreen
Gang Busters - Vol. 1-3 review
$15.19 With its rivers of blood, this adaptation of the Stephen Sondheim musical isn't for the faint of heart--or stomach. But thanks to the black humor, impeccable production design, and gorgeous music, Tim Burton fans will want to sing after seeing SWEENEY TODD. For his sixth collaboration with the director, Johnny Depp stars as Benjamin Barker aka Sweeney Todd, a barber falsely imprisoned by Judge Turpin (Alan Rickman). After leaving prison, he comes back to Victorian London to find his wife poisoned and his daughter held captive. As he plots his revenge, Sweeney joins forces with Mrs. Lovett (Helena Bonham Carter), and while he preys on clients asking for a shave, his new partner turns the bodies into baked goods. But the judge still lives, and the razor-wielding madman wants his vengeance.
Though it's a musical, SWEENEY TODD has more in common with Italian horror films such as SUSPIRIA than it does with CHICAGO. Even the horror-musical hybrid LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS pales in comparison to the darkness found here. Previous Burton-Depp pairings have veered toward the macabre, but this reaches a glorious new level. Though they've made excellent films apart, their partnership has produced some of their best work, including EDWARD SCISSORHANDS, ED WOOD, and now SWEENEY TODD. Depp demonstrates his rock-band roots as the antihero of the title ...
