Second Helping album for sale Product Description
Second Helping album for sale by Lynyrd Skynyrd was released Jun 19, 2007 on the Universal Distribution label. SECOND HELPING is also available with PRONOUNCED LEH'NERD SKIN'ERD on one cassette. Second Helping CD music It was hard to believe that Lynyrd Skynyrd could possibly top its classic, near-perfect 1973 debut, PRONOUNCED LEH-NERD SKIN-NERD. However, the boys from Florida accomplished the near-impossible with their sophomore release one year later, SECOND HELPING. It's hard to determine the better album of the two, but both proved to be a solid one-two punch that made Lynyrd Skynyrd one of the '70s' biggest (and unfortunately, most tragic) rock bands. Second Helping CD music contains a single disc with 8 songs. ...See Full Description

| Turn it up From the popular sing along power of Sweet Home Alabama to the straight forward drive of Workin' For MCA this is a landmark album of American music, as Ronnie Van Zant gives us unforgettable tales of southern life such as the Ballad of Curtis Loew. | Skynyrd's Heyday For my money, Skynyrd produced two albums worth a standard Southern rock wolf whistle: "Pronounced..." (the first released album featuring "Free Bird," "Tuesday's Gone" and "Simple Man") and "Second Helping." These albums were Southern barroom rock at its zenith. Thirty years later, there's still nothing better on FM radio. "Free Bird" and "Sweet Home Alabama" have been played to death, but maybe it's because they're still great. If I'd voted 30 years ago, "Second Helping" would have been my favorite. Now, I might vote for "Pronounced..." You can't go wrong with either one, and it's a shame if you don't have them both. The Allman Brothers started it all, but I always had to be in a certain mood to listen to them. With Skynyrd, I was always in the mood. | skynyrd returns with follow-up grand slam! hot on the heels of their 1973 debut album comes this collection of rock classics. from the opening licks of "sweet home alabama",the clapton like guitar solo on "the needle and the spoon" and their all out jam version of j.j. cale's "the breeze", this is a keeper for any rock fan. ed king, who played bass on the first album, moves to the third guitar spot for this offering.
