John Coltrane's maiden voyage for Atlantic Records was the fulfillment of all the potential he'd demonstrated with Miles, Monk and on his own Prestige recordings. Coltrane defines jazz
When I first heard this album I was amazed, and immediately a worshipper of Trane. All the tracks are flawless, but the one that really stands out is Giant Steps.
