"A Brief History of Light" is a concept album by the skilled musician AmirBaghiri, which was established with the help of a few co-composers, avocalist on one track and guest-musician Max Corbacho, who lend a hand onthe opening track. The cd kicks off with the dynamic "Falling Star", whichfeatured quite a heavy dance beat, before we move into the great sequencingand soundscapes of the engaging "Cosmic Axis". More floating textures followin the very nice tracks "Ghosts of the Dark Wood" and "Between Shadows andFog", which beautifully realm in sort-of Steve Roach territory. The tenminute "Origins of Light" is another atmospheric outing with mesmerizing,deep sound worlds, fx's, vocal samples and a slow sequence, in which moretrance rhythms pop in halfway. "Asphalt Wolf" is next, a four minute trancedance track with lots of fx's, moving into "Princes of Light", which hassome vocals. This band performed at several well known places and festivals across Asia.
