Known to his friends as "Dougie".Doug Edwards is a solo artist from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.Doug's music is uniquely written, with catchy pop-like lyrics and performed with his individual touch of soothing vocals and acoustic stylings. This sets Doug apart from any other artist of today.Doug's music cuts through many genres, from Country-pop to Folk to Soft rock.Doug was born in Rockhampton, a small city in Queensland.Doug grew up mainly in rural areas.At the age of 15 Doug picked up an acoustic guitar and within hours of playing was already stringing chords together and writing simple songs.Work commitments took precedence over Doug's music for many years until only 2 years ago, at the end of 2005, Doug stepped into a recording studio for his first time to finally get the chance to record some of the songs he had written over the past 4 to 5 years.What came out of that studio session inspired Doug to take the next step and record his debut EP "Favourite Songs".
