The life of a Venice sculptor (George Lazenby) is torn apart when his visiting young daughter is found murdered. But when the police are unable to find the killer, the grieving father's own investigation uncovers a high-level conspiracy of sexual perversion and violence. What depraved compulsions led to the murder of this child? And most horrifying of all, who saw her die? Adolfo Celi and Anita Strindberg costar in this film by Aldo Lado with remarkable score by Ennio Morricone. Former James Bond George Lazenby (ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE) stars in this thriller, a gruesome giallo from director Aldo Lado. Mr. Lazenby stars as Franco, a man devastated when his daughter is murdered while visiting him in Venice. However, when the police cannot find the killer, Franco and his wife decide to take the investigation into their own hands and stumble upon a troubling conspiracy. Atmospheric and evocative, WHO SAW HER DIE? borrows elements from Nicolas Roeg's masterful DON'T LOOK NOW and grafts them with the conventions of the giallo, creating a film that is, at once, haunting, suspenseful, and disturbing. Who Saw Her Die? Movie Review In a gothic Venice... It's a rare gem, an immacolate version of an italian giallo, set in a dark, disturbing, shadowy, definitely hostile Venice. An old black-veiled lady, strangely dressed up in an unusual Mary Poppins fashion, a group of guilty looking artists, absorbed in something vicious. And a murder. Well, several ones. An incredible score by Morricone, a marvelously eerie tune, is going to fashinate you, while a weird, twisted, almost gothic story evolve to a surprise ending. A terrific movie, captivating, highly recommendable. Submitted by guidobacchilega (Ravenna, Italy) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.

Who Saw Her Die? film
$16.69 A little-known gem of Italian giallo, THE KILLER MUST KILL AGAIN is an early project from director Luigi Cozzi, and arguably one of his best. When the wealthy but shady businessman Mainardi (George Hilton) comes across a killer (Antoine Saint-John, billed as Michael Antoine) dumping a corpse off a dock, he recognizes an opportunity and seizes it. With a little blackmail and a hefty sum of money, he arranges to have the murderer knock off his wife (Teresa Velazquez) while he attends a society function. Unfortunately, after the killer has stashed her body in the trunk of a car, the vehicle is promptly stolen by a carefree young couple on a joyride; Mainardi must field questions from suspicious ...

Who Saw Her Die? DVD
$10.05 Part of Anchor Bay's GIALLO COLLECTION, which celebrates the often graphic Italian thrillers of the 1960s and 1970s, THE BLOODSTAINED SHADOW certainly contains enough sex and violence to qualify for that genre. In it, a college student named Stefano returns home from school to Venice in order to visit his brother, Don Paolo, who is a Catholic priest in a small Venetian town. Upon arrival, Stefano sees immediately that his brother is troubled and learns that the source of troubles are the seances being held at a local woman's house where some of the town's most unsavory characters congregate. Most vexing is a rich pedophile whose crimes go unpunished because of his wealth. However, Don Paolo's life becomes far more complicated after a murder in the town's square that eerily echoes one that happened many years ago signals that a new rash of murders has begun. Using the serpentine waterways of Venice as a backdrop, THE BLOODSTAINED SHADOW is an atmospheric and highly entertaining thriller.
A young college professor (Lino Capolicchio) returns home to visit his Catholic priest brother (Craig Hill). Prominent members ...

$9.99 Jean Sorel (LIZARD IN A WOMAN'S SKIN) stars in this inventive Italian shocker, part of Anchor Bay's GIALLO COLLECTION, which contains a number of the grisly Italian murder mysteries of the 1960s and 1970s known as "giallos." Sorel plays Gregory Moore, a reporter who is found dead in the film's opening scene. Though his body shows no signs of life, Gregory is actually alive and struggling to recall who or what has led him to the brink of death. Recalling how the disappearance of his girlfriend led him into an appalling and shadowy conspiracy, Gregory struggles to solve the mystery before his mind becomes as still as his body. An original and involving thriller that features an outstanding Ennio Morricone score, SHORT NIGHT OF GLASS DOLLS is an entertaining and enthralling giallo.
The corpse of reporter Gregory Moore (Jean Sorel) is found in a Prague plaza and brought to the local morgue. But Moore is actually alive, trapped inside his dead body and desperately recalling how the ...

$7.05 Definitely not for those who are faint of heart, Renato Polselli's DELIRIUM is a truly shocking piece of 1970s Euro-exploitation cinema. Although the plot makes the film sound like a giallo, DELIRIUM is actually 100 minutes of lunacy that pays lip service to its complex and absurd story. It stars Mickey Hargitay as Dr. Herbert Lyutak, an unhinged sex maniac who brutally abuses his female victims before killing them. Fortunately, his wife is turned on by Lyutak's ...
