Purchase Lust Lust Lust CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Susan Boyle I Dreamed A Dream CD (2009)
Lust Lust Lust album
$9.55 Susan Boyle's grand unveiling on Britain's Got Talent was with a song from Les Miserables - the very song that lends this album its title -- and if she could become an international sensation based on a show tune standard, there's no reason for her to change her approach on her debut, since that's the sound that made her a star. Plus, a large part of Boyle's appeal is that she's a middle-aged woman recalling a bygone era when there were singers that appealed to an adult audience by offering soft, stately versions of pop hits and standards. That time was the late `60s and early `70s, and apart from a rather faithful version of Madonna's "You'll See," I Dreamed a Dream could very well have been released all those years ago, as it mixes up the show tunes, gospel, and Christmas carols with covers of Skeeter Davis' "The End of the World," the Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses," and a version of "Daydream Believer" that is easily the slowest on record. Boyle sings beautifully throughout, delivering more of the same of what she did in her moment in the sun on television. Those won over by Boyle, either her voice or story, will surely be satisfied. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
There's no question that Susan Boyle's story is inspiring, but the same ...
| | Jimmy Buffett Buffet Hotel CD (2009)
Lust Lust Lust CD music
$9.74 Since Jimmy Buffett never leaves his comfort zone, it's hard to call 2009's Buffet Hotel a return to roots but, in a way, it is. Discounting the mock rap on "Turn Up the Heat and Chill the Rosé," this album doesn't even have the lingering country and reggae flavors that seasoned 2006's Take the Weather with You, with all of the songs riding a cool, mellow country-rock wave, the kind that has been his stock-in-trade since the `70s. There's a difference between being part of a tradition and being stuck in the past and Buffett is surely in the former, not shying away from the new millennial mess, admitting that we all have "A Lot to Drink About" and never flinching from his advancing years, most movingly on a cover of Bruce Cockburn's "Life's Short Call Now." Cockburn's song is paired with another expertly chosen cover, Jesse Winchester's "Rhumba Man" (he covered Winchester's "Nothin' But a Breeze" the album before), but this has the highest percentage of original Buffett compositions since 1999's Beach House on the Moon, which is a good indication ...
| | Pink Funhouse CD (2008) Explicit
Lust Lust Lust music CDs
$8.99 Pink's insistently hooky, attitude-filled pop-rock has kept the singer a fixture on the radio and on singles charts since the early 2000s. The artist's fifth effort, FUNHOUSE, doesn't tamper with the formula: Pink's powerhouse vocals and in-your-face approach, backed by stadium-sized production, are in full effect on all 12 tracks. Even though the album deals primarily with aftermath of her divorce and includes serious moments of self-confrontation like "Sober," fans needn't worry that Pink has lost any of her chutzpah.
If anything, there's an increased sense of confidence and newfound liberation on tracks like the chest-thumping "So What" and the mischievous, bouncing "Bad Influence." In softer moments, like the ballad "I Don't Believe You" and the soulful "One Wrong Foot," Pink channels her personal experience ...

Lust Lust Lust songs
$15.89 Digitally remastered by Eliot Goshman (1996 BMG Studios, New York, New York).
Lou Monte, the king of the Italian-American novelty song, is well represented on this career-spanning anthology that contains selections from his terms with RCA Victor, Roulette and Reprise, including all of his Top 100 hits. Only a couple of ballads interrupt an otherwise non-stop program of novelties, many of which are Italian remakes of popular songs such ...

$17.09 | | Paula C Snyder Renewed CD (2007)
Lust Lust Lust music CDs
$11.39 NEVER TOO LATE? Debut original CD, 'Renewed', has just been released by Paula Chafetz Snyder of Raleigh, NC. Appropriately named, it contains both earlier & more recently penned original songs, presented in a variety of styles. With new - yet old/wise ideas, both contemporary and nostalgic issues to express, find some gritty blues, mellow jazz, a folksy lullaby, thoughtful musical poetry, a song with Latin flavor, and a few jagged edges of rock & roll. Top that off with some contemporary ballads and there is a little something for everyone! 'I've been told I'm a vocal chameleon' indicates Ms. Snyder. 'Renewed' interweaves common threads of blues & jazz, though each song has its own unique character. The musical arrangements are meant to enhance the vocals, highlighting lyric expression. A new motivational theme emerges from the final song on the CD -- 'Never Too Late', where Paula energetically expresses a dream anguished by the frustrations of everyday limitations, yet still exuding excitement about the possibilities ...
