Live In Liverpool
$7.99 Some bad ideas are actually good ideas. Pancho Ballard and the Banditos were born in a bedroom in the North West of England as a 'make-your-own-fun' recording project for Darren Riley. A big bubbling pot of Mexicans, cowboys, surf guitar and spaghetti westerns, it started as one song (Mexican Elvis) and became a full album and a unique live band.Whilst never intended for public consumption, Darren (henceforth known as Pancho) played an acoustic version of Mexican Elvis to some friends at work - they liked. He then played it at an acoustic night in town - they liked. So he put a few tracks online for people to listen to - the listeners, they say yes! It seemed inevitable that a gig with a full band would have to follow pretty soon and the chance came when a friend of Pancho's was asked to put a band together for a gig that was to commemorate the passing of a local comedian and poet, Hovis Presley. It seemed the perfect place to launch a Mexican-cowboy-surf-spaghetti western band. The gig was a ridiculous, hilarious success. Not only was the music exciting, entertaining and often funny but Pancho also discovered a talent for making the audience laugh between songs. They also appreciated the free packs of Doritos he threw out too (sadly this album is offered without corn-based snacks but you can buy your own if you so wish). Within a couple of weeks a brass section was added and the whole town was talking about the band - "Have you seen Pancho?"; "Are you going to see the Banditos?"; "Ay caramba!" Indeed, the aforementioned Darren Riley was now called Pancho as much as his birth name and that continues to this ...

Live In Liverpool
$16.45 One day, almost 3 years ago, as I was listening to songs on the radio, I decided to purchase a karaoke CD of one of my favorite artists and go to the recording studio to record a karaoke version of a popular song.My dad was a semi-professional singer for RCA Victor for 10 years, and it was something I had always longed to do, but never had the guts to go after. I did not know anyone in the music buisness and thought it would be impossible. Sometimes, the impossible becomes psiible when we follow our hearts........I played the recorded song in the car on the way to and from work and would sing along with it remembering my singing as a lifetime dream. It was around winter holiday time when miracles sometimes happen. Not knowing where to go from here and wanting to record my own songs, I asked God for a holiday wish to please point me in the right direction and put me on the path with people who could help me realize a lifelong dream. That week, on Friday night Dec. 15, 2006 around 5:00 P.M., I stopped at the Bank of America in Bergenfield NJ where I live. I would usually park and go into the bank ATM but this night for some reason I went through the drive through ATM machine. My recorded CD was playing in the car, as the window was open. It was dark outside , and there was only one other car at the bank. A car was next to me at the other machine with a gentleman inside. I smiled and waved hello and I could tell he was listening to the CD trying to determine who was singing. I looked over to the gentleman & through the car window said proudly ..”That is me singing”. He looked through his car window and said “That is you? I am record producer.” I was so excited I almost drove my car into the ATM machine!!! & a dream was born. Urban became my mentor & friend and produced this new artists first attempt at her own CD. The rest will be up to the Good Lord & history Update: Another wonderful act of God & fate; for those of you who believe The past year on January 2, 2008 after the holidays, a friend of mine whom I work with, Bob Gautier who is a sort of medium, We affectionately call him "The Warlock"( He said it was ok to say his name!!) He came over to me and told me that this will be my year..He said that I was going to meet a woman manager. She will have a medium build, with shoulder length blonde hair who's name will be Virginia... He told me she was going to become my manager & do great things for my dreams. He told me she was going to be the key to my success & become a very important part of my life .I laughed & every time I would see him he would ask me if we meet yet. 3 months went by...April 6 was my birthday, he came over to wish me a happy birthday & asked me" So, did you meet Virginia yet?" I smiled & said no. A few days later, Thursday April 10, 2008 my phone rang... It was a woman manager, medium build, with shoulder length blonde hair....named Virginia......... I almost dropped the phone, she kept asking me if I was alright. I said " Sure, no problem" She told me she usually does not recruit artists by just hearing my music on line, but she did not know what made her call me....... I could not speak. I could not hardly breathe!!! I ran down to the computer after I hung up with her to check out her web page..... Sure enough, she had blonde hair, medium build & my height.... I was so excited I called Bob, my family, my friends, my record producer...I was afraid to tell her, but everyone said I should. I needed a manager & did not want her to think I was nuts!!! But I told her. I sent her an e-mail and said" Virginia, I do not know if you believe in God & Fate, but I have a story to tell you. I have been waiting for you to show up for 3 months.." She was a little freaked out, but called me a few days ...
