Janet Simons has "played" around for years with making music with her guitar. As a teacher she wrote songs for school-age children. As a deeply religious person she has written music to many psalms and other life experiences. But her best and larger collection of melodies were set to the great poems E. E. CUMMINGS. As a student she was introduced to e.e. cummings in college and fell in love with poems "i carry you heart," and "you shall above all things be glad and young." Later, a friend encouraged her to put those poems to music. Using such great poems in musical form forces the listener to think. This thoughtful thinking helps the listener reflect on the true meaning love, life, letting go, and beauty. So as the years went by the dream was to make a CD so the melodies to these great poems would not be lost.I do enjoy all the songs but some I love. I hope you do too.

The vehicle through which death metal guitar hero Michael Amott channeled his most extreme instrumental concepts, Arch Enemy was an experiment that produced predictably wild and undeveloped results. After the group's debut, Black Earth, shocked and amazed many fans of the Gothenburg sound, Arch Enemy signed with indie metal powerhouse Century Media and released Stigmata in 1998. As often happens with highly anticipated follow-ups, Stigmata disappointed some fans with what some called a more restrained sound and lesser material. Realistically, the tightly constructed production was to be expected, and the real driving force behind Arch Enemy's success -- Amott's guitar work -- is definitely present.
