Protest This Journey album
$13.19 Following the decadent, club-style excursions of 2008's HOTEL, Moby returns for a more contemplative sound on the melancholic WAIT FOR ME. Working through deeply personal material and a more intimate, though at times cinematic, sound palette, the album ranks as among his best in over 10 years.

Protest This Journey music CDs
$29.09 Laura Nyro's career became difficult to follow in the late '80s and early '90s. In 1984, she emerged with Mother's Spiritual, her first album in six years, on Columbia Records, the label she had joined in 1968. She returned to occasional performances a few years later, and in 1989, Cypress Records, a short-lived label, issued Live at the Bottom Line, which featured several new songs, even though Columbia continued to claim her as an exclusive recording artist. She returned to Columbia four years later with what turned out to be her final studio album, Walk the Dog & Light the Light. The archival Live From Mountain Stage, drawn from a performance recorded for the radio series on November 11, 1990, and released a decade later, comes from in the midst of this period. Nyro repeats "Roll of the Ocean" and "Japanese Restaurant" (aka "The Japanese Restaurant Song"), two of the new songs from Live at the Bottom Line, and she previews three numbers that will appear on Walk the Dog & Light the Light: the covers "Oh Yeah Maybe Baby (The Heebie Jeebies)" and "I'm So Proud/Dedicated to the One I Love," and the new original "Lite the Flame," an animal rights song. She also plays her seasonal medley "Let It Be Me/The Christmas Song," then just-released on the various ...

Protest This Journey music CDs
$18.55 Every once a while an utterly brilliant album comes along that defies categories and surprises you at every turn. The Hub is that kind of album. It beckons and gently embraces you while slowly twisting your head inside out every time you hear it. There are some pop song structures with vocals and lyrics, but it’s all arranged quite unlike any pop music I’ve heard. There’s long, colourful passages of instrumental ambient sound and rich synthetic chords, but with no obvious roots in anything that’s come before. Add to that touches of white soul, drum ‘n’ bass, epic house, world melodies…and it doesn’t stop there. The composer’s website at http://www.mezzowave.net is a remarkable piece of web design, a work of art in its own right and a sensuous treat for the eyes and ears. He promotes his site “super sensory chillout”. That phrase neatly sums up the liquid sounds of The Hub, too, one the of freshest pieces of contemporary electronica around right now. This is my Album Of The Year so far, and its going to take some beating…Review by: Chill Out @ In The Mix by Mikey GMax Over the two years it took to create The Hub I was studying with a chi gong master, ...

| | Dead Beat Project Breaking The Shell CD (2007)
Protest This Journey album
$16.45 DBP is the solo project of Esoteric (UK) Keyboard player Olivier Goyet. This outfit took shape during the summer of 2005 while on tour in Europe, writing some possible ideas of new compositions for Esoteric, but which eventually could not fit with the band and were associated together under one new Project. It's taken nearly 8 months for completion of the first album of DBP, which has been mastered by Greg Chandler at Priory Studios (Sutton Coldfield - UK) and is now released on Aesthetic Death Records.See the Myspace site for further details:http://www.myspace.com/deadbeatprojectukThe music expresses a certain form of beauty in sadness and melancholy. Endless Space and Time where one can linger eyes closed. A moment of reflexion on the inner self.Breaking the shell Reviews (extracts):Metal-Waves.com : rated 18.5/20 - Olivier weaves with "Breaking The Shell" an intimate and cerebral canvas threaded with silk and gold, and extracts in a Baudelaire like manner, the Beauty and the Moving which is meant to represent Evil.chaindlk.com: rated 4/5 -[Olivier] is also capable to turn one track from dark to melancholic by adding only a few melody lines and this is a key point if you want to keep the attention of the listener. obskure.com - rated 80% ...
