| | War Pigeon Glacier CD War Pigeon Discography of CDs
War Pigeon has dropped “the bomb” on music fans everywhere with their sophomore album; “Glacier.” Diverging slightly from the more Soul/Rock feel of their debut CD, “Glacier” takes its listeners on a fairytale-like musical adventure of Street-Sound, Jazz, and darker Rock, while continuing to pay homage to the creative grooves that helped define their sound. The spirit of “raw musical adventurism” is ever-present on “Glacier”, as the group took the creatively liberating, yet daunting approach of recording, mixing, and engineering the project themselves. The result leaves the listener with an un-distorted image of what its like to spend a week holed up in a cabin in the woods with this band.War Pigeon came together in Seattle circa 2005 with a purpose: to break down the barriers of traditional music formats and create a stew of musical and life influences void of the sterility found in the majority of today’s music. In the spirit of the great power trios like Cream, The Police and Medeski, Martin, and Wood; War Pigeon emerged on the scene in full force with upbeat and skillful live performances to fans across the northwest. As 2008 begins, War Pigeon is hot-on-the heels of today’s music scene, smattering a cavalcade of fresh inspiration and timeless music that is destined to earn the attention of music fans worldwide. Before the album even reached the hands of fans and disc jockeys, Seattle’s own Steve Slaton, music director for the popular classic rock station KZOK chose to play the final track on “Glacier” entitled “d.i.a.d.h” live on the air for his listeners on two different installments of his Friday afternoon drive show called “Stump Slaton.” War Pigeon Glacier Songs | 1. | Fro-Leans |

Glacier songs
$11.18 (MP3 Available for Download) With Adam Lambert, American Idol finally got a finalist who was completely, utterly contemporary, aware of what's hip in music and culture and aware of how music is made and consumed in 2009, never seeming to try to follow fads or set trends, just embodying the time. Mercifully, he came in second to Kris Allen, for if he came in first he may have had to tame his self-styled glamazon ways. ...

Glacier MP3 Album
$13.89 Drinking from the same water and breathing the same Detroit Rock City air as the White Stripes, Eminem and Kid Rock -- not to mention predecessors such as Mitch Ryder, Bob Seger, George Clinton and the entirety of the Motown roster -- NATIVES OF THE NEW DAWN were formed in the Detroit suburb of Ferndale from the ashes of a rap trio that included MC Vince Mann and Gary “DJ Goo” Hoenicke. Evolving into a dynamic package of sounds and influences, Natives are driven by the tightly pocketed rhythm section of bassist Ryan Coomer and drummer Tom Wachter, the fierce guitar work of Joe Fikany, and the soulful singing of Tony Nouhan, creating a genuinely ...

Glacier music CDs
$11.39 This is where a normal artist might try swaying you with words, telling you how great their new CD is, comparing themselves to artists ten times better than them, and then quoting a couple lines from the glowing review the CD had received in the latest Penny Saver. We aren’t going to do that, though.Instead, we’re going to tell you a little bit about you and hope that our mutual understanding of what it is you’re looking for in your next CD purchase will help you come to realize that the new Time Bomb Symphony CD was recorded with you in mind.To assist us is Time Bomb Symphony singer/songwriter Darren Robbins:"Remember when radio rocked? Generations of rock fans grew up listening to tons of great bands filling the airwaves. Because you tended to hear more good songs than bad, we became conditioned to reflexively turn on the radio the moment we’d get in the car. Nowadays, though, you turn the radio on and are instantly filled with a desire to chuck the darn thing out the window. There were so many cool bands that one could easily run out of wall space to hang posters of their favorite rock heroes. We recall most vividly the poster of Blondie’s Debby Harry (circa 1981, sans bra) that was positioned just above my bed. My dad noticed that one too, as I recall.Truth be ...

Glacier album
$17.99 The idea and momentum for “Cruising for Paradise,” Kevin Meisel’s third record, (his second for the Brambus label), germinated while Meisel and guitarist Alex Anest were touring Switzerland in 2004. At that time, while touring behind Meisel’s folk/country inspired recording “Country Lines” (Brambus, 2003), the two musicians listened incessantly and repetitively to Beatle recordings, most notably “Revolver”, and “The White Album.” Interspersed between those listenings were other familiar favorites by Dylan, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash and Neil Young, all artists hugely influential on Meisel. During trips between the venues, the two engaged in spirited dialogues about those records and what made them so timeless and lasting.Inspired, Meisel, who is mostly known for his folk narrative songwriting style, began to include in his live sets various selections from an unrecorded cache of songs ...
