if you would have BOUGHT the re release, the original thriller is on there, sounding better than ever! what sense does it make to give the album a low rating when it contains the original songs? if you dont like akon then fine, but respect the fact that these artists actually chose to give respect to michael unlike the tons of artists that rip him off every day till this day that didnt record for the album.

"Thriller" is a classic album, a great album, albiet a short album at only 9 original tracks. in 2002 a remastered edition with bonus tracks was released which tops this mess of a reissue.

Why is it, that whenever an artist wants to resurrect their music they invite some of the worst artists alive (Akon) to rework a classic tune and water it down and destroy the original masterpiece.

I think a "FEW" of you are missing the concept of what's taking place with this album. This is the celebration of 25 years of one of the greatest success album ever made; introduced to a new generation far more different than our, adding a twist of flavor allowing artist such as Akon, Will.i. am, and others to reach a generation such as the one we're in now is smarter than you think.
