| | Evan Kremin CD Evan Kremin Discography of CDs
Birthed as one of Bleecker Street’s truly protected children, Evan Kremin has been mastering his craft on this legendary New York music strip since 1983. As a compellingly gifted singer, songwriter and musician, Evan was quickly adopted by club owners and industry professionals as Bleecker's own “favorite son”. Renowned clubs such as The Bitter End, Kenny’s Castaway’s and Café Wha came to embrace the young talent as part of a rock & roll family that can only be described as the heart & sound of Bleeker Street. Infected with the success of the strip, Kremin did everything from playing gigs to filling in for the sound, lighting and janitorial crew. Anything to stay close to the music…that is…until college came a callin’... The opportunities of New York’s Rock Mecca would have to wait while this local hair band idol answered the call of a Sax Scholarship to the University of Miami Music School. Years of classic training & study starting at just 4 yrs old were finally about to pay off. Trained as a musician in almost every seat of the orchestra, left alone with any instrument for more than a couple of hours Evan Kremin will generally be ready for the stage. Still, his heart and strengths belong with: guitar, bass, keyboards, saxophone and mandolin. Majoring in jazz vocal & minoring in performance Sax - Evan’s fondest memories of his formal college education at UM are of Rock Class and playing award winning gigs all over the hot Miami music scene. It was tempting to stay in Miami while he performed to thousands as lead vocals & guitarist for Mikki Rocks – a hard rock/ heavy metal cover band touring South Florida under Fantasma Productions. Opening for major acts such as Warrant, Joe Satriani and Skid Rowe was a great way to play larger venues and pay the rent, but Evan Kremin had his own sound and could never escape the calling of his New York rock roots. So it was back to Bleecker for this golden boy…now with a stronger sense of his individual sound and a greater need to be more interactive within the heart of the industry. Evan Kremin played all over the New York Area. He continued his vocal training under the infamous Jim Dawson and expanded his sound engineering abilities at The Institute of Audio Research. Aside from playing regularly at The Bitter End, Evan became the club's head sound engineer, exposing him to legends like: Clive Davis, David Crosby, Peter Paul and Mary and Tracy Chapman. Later Evan became studio manager at Complete Music Service-one of the largest rehearsal studios in New York, where he was a regularly requested engineer for some of music’s brightest stars: Lou Reed, David Bowie, David Byrne, etc. The more Evan worked with and for the greats the more he wrote, played, and sang with them. In 1998 Evan was so respected by his peers, Guitar Magazine cashed in on the montage of his expertise by hiring him to write a series of insightful industry based articles, all of which were published throughout that year. As a band member, Evan has toured both nationally & internationally. Spanning his music career Evan has sung lead for over 10 cover bands ranging from heavy metal to pop, all the while writing, performing & recording his original sound. As an independent, original artist Evan Kremin has matured into an “authentic rock reward”. His roots have merged songwriting, vocal and band leadership ability into a sound that is fresh, fun and mesmerizing. Evan Kremin differentiates himself as a songwriter with: witty intelligent lyrics, resonating melodies, peaking vocals and newly inspired rock arrangements. His background really shines as he manages to consistently pull all these elements together by staying relative to his audience and keeping it simple. His performances are invigorating - as he is not shy on warmth or sex appeal. It is Rock and Roll with all the quality and authenticity you would expect from a great performer. Hollywood can’t make artists like Evan Kremin… they c Evan Kremin Songs | 1. | Someday |

Evan Kremin album
$11.18 With Adam Lambert, American Idol finally got a finalist who was completely, utterly contemporary, aware of what's hip in music and culture and aware of how music is made and consumed in 2009, never seeming to try to follow fads or set trends, just embodying the time. Mercifully, he came in second to Kris Allen, for if he came in first he may have had to tame his self-styled glamazon ways. A second place finish allowed Lambert to come out of the closet and indulge in his penchant for theater on his debut, For Your Entertainment -- which isn't quite the same thing as camp, for if Adam Lambert is anything, he's earnest about his dress-up, never winking at the audience because he doesn't think there's much funny about his glitter and mascara: that's just what pop stars are supposed to ...

| | Mark Knopfler Get Lucky CDs (2009)
Evan Kremin CD music
$22.09 With the release of GET LUCKY, Mark Knopfler has made as many solo studio albums as he made group studio albums with Dire Straits, which itself may be a signal that it's time to stop comparing his two careers and simply accept them as separate entities. Of course, since Knopfler was the lead singer, chief instrumentalist, and songwriter for Dire Straits, there are obvious similarities, even if he has taken a deliberately different path as a solo artist. Basically, he's a lot quieter. "Border Reiver," the first song here, begins with a pennywhistle and a piano, then strings join in. Soon enough, Knopfler's distinctive conversational baritone begins calmly intoning lyrics, and eventually there are examples of his melodic fingerpicked guitar style on both acoustic and electric guitar. He even works up to a smoldering swamp rock shuffle, a la J.J. Cale, on "Cleaning My Gun." But that's as close as he comes to really rocking out. More typical is "Hard Shoulder," a ballad that employs a twangy guitar sound and comes across as a number that Glen Campbell could have had a hit with back in his late-'60s "Wichita Lineman" heyday. The tunes support ...
