I'm from Holland and I've been in the music business nearly all my life. starting out with jazz and blues on clarinet and saxophones, I soon focused on the instrument I really love: the guitar and on singing and writing. My life never was a straight line (whose is?) and after a lot of gigs, jobs and some singles, I had a hit in 1974 with a number called Run to the sunshine. Not so much later family life became very important so I took up a steady job as a teacher at the music school of The Hague. After the kids left home, I picked up playing and singing again, and writing, I simply can't stop. My music is very divers: anything that ever hit my ears, left its traces and in time finds its way out in a song. But I'm very happy if something pops up that you can't put a sticker on.Faces became reality with the help of some good friends.Their faces too, you'll find in the booklet. One day a friend (she's a really serious music lover) asked how the project was going on. Great I said, but I need three singing sisters for the background vocals. Then you should try my daughters she replied. I did and they are great! Listen to them - and to the rest of course, which isn't bad either.Enjoy! Leo Unger Leo Unger Faces Songs | 1. | When I Look Into Your Eyes |

| | Taylor Swift Fearless CDs (2008) With DVD; Bonus Tracks; Special Edition
Faces songs
$13.99 Taylor Swift abandons any pretense that she's a teen on her second album, FEARLESS--which isn't to say that she suddenly tarts herself up, running away from her youth in a manner that's all too familiar to many teen stars. Swift's maturation is deliberate and careful, styled after the crossover country-pop of Shania Twain and Faith ...
| | Malibooz Living Water (The Surfer's Mass) CD (1999)
Faces album
$11.15 One of the charms of surf music has always been its unpretentiousness: it is simple, stirring rock music devoted to the joys of surfing. In that sense, combining it with religious dogma seems a stretch, but that's what veteran musicians John Zambetti and Walter Egan have done on Living Water (The Surfer's Mass). The album is exactly what it says it is, a combination of the prayers said in Latin in a Catholic Mass with surf music, so that the Malibooz sing, "Kyrie Eleison" with Beach Boys-like harmonies over Dick Dale-style guitar, and follow with "Gloria" at a ballad tempo that suggests "Surfer Girl." Much of the time, the album is reminiscent not so much of early surf music as of later evolutions of it, especially the Beach Boys' 1971 album Surf's Up, that is, if you can imagine that album containing a song called "Lamb of God." No doubt seriously intended, Living Water (The Surfer's Mass) nevertheless has an "only in California" quirkiness to it that many listeners may find more humorous than inspiring. But maybe it will lead to the creation of a new musical genre: Christian Surf Music; at very least, it gives new meaning to the phrase, "Pray for surf." ~ William Ruhlmann
With the release of "LIVING WATER (The Surfer's Mass)" John Zambetti and Walter Egan are celebrating over thirty years of making music together as The Malibooz. Even before its release, songs from the CD appeared in the Joe Eszterhas feature "An Alan Smithee Film, "Burn, Hollywood, Burn" starring Sylvester Stallone, Whoopi Goldberg, Jackie Chan, and Eric Idle. Over the years Walter and John have also worked on each other's solo projects, including Egan's "NOT SHY" album that was produced by Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. The album spawned the million selling single "Magnet & Steel" which recently appeared in the Golden Globe and Academy Award winning movie, "Boogie Nights". Currently "Magnet & Steel" is featured in the film "Deuce Bigelow" produced by Adam Sandler.Zambetti has also worked with film producer Michael Manheim on the film "Leap of Faith" and with producer ...
| | Jon Anderson Toltec CD (1996)
Faces CD music
$14.59 A concept album, Anderson's Toltec is made up of 13 cuts divided into three parts. It tells the tale of the Toltec, a Native American concept of a group of people who have been all over the Earth, existing within different cultures throughout the centuries. They are described in the liner as "Creators of the circles of power, color, perfume, and music healing domes." Musically, this one is arguably Anderson's most ambitious solo effort. It is set in a style that is definitely progressive rock, but focuses less on the rock and more on other elements. Among those elements are new age (no surprise as the CD was released on the Windham Hill label), world music, electronic, and even jazz. Anderson not only provided the expected vocals, but also wrote, arranged, and produced the disc. The result is an album that should appeal not just to fans of the singer, but to those into progressive rock in general as well. It definitely isn't Yes (although it does share some elements with their work), but it is certainly an intriguing and entertaining work. ~ Gary Hill
