It's not all head-forward aggression, however, as "Hearts Burst Into Fire" flirts with emo and "Say Goodnight" glosses the classic power ballad with a fresh coat of paint. Despite that, the lasting impression they leave is the acrid scent of scorched eardrums courtesy of adrenalized tracks like the warp-speed "Last to Know" and "Ashes of the Innocent." With metal splintering into so many camps, it's good to hear an act just interested in playing it the way they remember it, only faster and harder.
Welsh traditionalists Bullet For My Valentine clearly get off on the classics. While they're sometimes lumped in with metalcore acts, they're much closer to old-school American thrashers from the '80s such as Metallica and Megadeth, and harsher '90s acts in the vein of Pantera. SCREAM AIM FIRE represents a significant forward for the band, with twisting dual leads charging ahead of the galloping rhythms and dynamic song structures.

Bullet for my Valentine does it RIGHT! Let's face it, there's nothing that hasn't been done before on this new release, but at least Bullet throws in their own take on it. Not to mention the awesome production value, epic guitar work and epic songwriting ability - AND they can nail the songs perfectly live!!!

they did it once again!
one of my favorite bands! i thought "poison" was an amazing album. every song is sweet. once i heard "scream aim fire", i was like, "holy jeez!" matt does a terrific job at the vocals. couple growls here and there, yes! double bass! sweet solos, whoo! BFMV fans won't be disappointed. kept the same sound. they didn't sell out. i'd recommend this album to anyone. "waking the demons" and "disappear" i'd tell you to check out. well...they're all freggin' awsome! buy this album!!

This is bullet at it's best. The heavier sound mixed with the singing and screaming is amazing. The poison had some really good songs and some okay songs but still wasn't convincing enough for me. This cd every song is amazing. Music like this stands out.

This cd really shoes how great this band is The Poison was alright but wasn't a great cd in my opinion. This is their 1st cd that really impressed overall. A great headbanging masterpiece
