The Daystar Project is a grand experience in Christian music featuring the sounds of Latin, Jazz, Celtic, neo-classic and light rock. This is the groups second CD, 'Hope for a wounded World' and features several instrumental Christmas songs, and three vocal pieces, featuring Don Bleyl as the lead singer on A Crazy Christmas Samba, Merry Gentlemen and Breathe. Steve Evans is featured as the lead singer on I'll Be Home for Christmas.Listen closely to all of the neat little sounds in the background. There are lots of gadjots and toys used as percussion on most of the songs. This was a gifted and fun project for all and it will be entertaining for the entire family both young and old!The musicians on who played on this CD are:Brian Foutz: keyboards, hand percussion, vocals, writer and arrangerDon Bleyl: lead singer, guitar, writer and arrangerCarolyn Burell : violinist, hand percussionRob Harper : drums, percussionRon Wells : bass, writer and arrangerSteve Evans: Trumpet, hand percussion, vocals, arrangerSteve "Gadjot" McFadden: percussionist, hand percussionistand the "cricket"Ty Miyahara: Flugel Horn, hand percussion,vocals and extra sound toys The history of the group first got started in 1996, when the late John Crawford, Associate Pastor of Kingsland Baptist church in Katy, Texas approached Brian Foutz and Don Bleyl to assist in the planning of a 'vespers concert " for the church. Pastor Crawford wanted to tell of the Christ child through creative arrangements of Christmas hymns accompanying a story. Brian, Don and several other members of the praise band said "yes" and so began a tradition of a special gift of music at Christmas. In 1998 the band started sharing this gift with some of the other local churches in the Katy area. In 1999, the band needed a name that would represent our group as a project to honor God as we continued to share our gift with local churches. We found our answer in 2 Peter 1:19 (KJV) and formed what has become The Daystar Project. We have since grown to as many as ten (10) people and have begin a new journey into Praise and Worship music Why does The Daystar Project Ministry continue today? I devoured that box of 45's (small music records) that my father's disc jockey friend gave to him. I must have listened to those songs over and over again in the privacy of my bedroom throughout grade school. This music opened up a candy store of emotions. The Fifth Dimension, Petula Clark, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Carol King, Joni Mitchell, Dionne Warwick, and all the boy bands of the time. Music was a constant friend and I used it to smile, laugh, and cry through the breakdown of our family.After about 19 years of marriage, my parents divorced. It has shaped me into who I am today. Unfortunately, there was a sense of insecurity in my life that only became apparent in my early 20's while searching for life's answers. I looked for love and peace in all the wrong places. Performing became my outlet to receive the love that I lacked thinking that fame and fortune would do it for me. Well, as you can see, I am here today to tell you that I didn't become famous as the world would say, but love came knocking and I became Bill Badamo's wife and Anthony and Angelique's mom! I'd say that I made out!!! It was a struggle to accept my parent's divorce and to move on to healing. I believed in Jesus but wasn't encouraged to know Him and His word on a personal level. My husband Bill had one of those firework conversions and I saw his COUNTENANCE change! While he prayed for me, he made me want to know Christ for myself I called out to Jesus to come and live in my heart...and He did!10 years ago I picked up the guitar after seeing my son, Anthony learn the guitar so easily. He inspired me to begin studying with his guitar teacher, Jeff Phillips. Jeff encouraged me to start writing songs. If it weren't for him, I am not sure that I would have even tried! I began writing about my faith in Christ and the songs kept coming We put out my first cd, 'JOY' with the help on Studio L's, Rick Witkowski. The first song on the cd called 'JESUS EVERYWHERE I GO' made it to WORD-FM radio in Pittsburgh, PA with the help of Kenny Woods and John Hall. CORNERSTONE TELEVISION in Wall, PA invited me to sing and play on the show 'HIS PLACE', while many coffeehouses, festivals and churches have invited me to minister. It was a wonderful time of meeting and ministering to many new people while seeing lives moved to seek after God in a deeper way. Lots of living went on between my first project 'JOY' and my newest project 'OCCUPIED'. Bill and his staff are still making men, women and children look great at his hair studio. My children grew up and moved on. Anthony is a musician who's band 'BLACK TIE REVUE' signed their first record deal with Gearhead Records in California. He is employed at Cricket Communications in Pittsburgh, PA. Angelique finished her education at Robert Morris University with a bachelors degree ...
