The band's ESCAPE is onstage - wherethey tune out the world, have no worries, feel no pain and are able tolive completely in the moment along with their audience. The 7 songscontained on this CD capture that and much more. Be a part of theirESCAPE - catch them on tour all this year and get connected. The Boston punk & hardcore scene has been known for over two decades for producing such renowned acts as Slapshot, The Hope Conspiracy, The Receiving End of Sirens, Give Up the Ghost, Cave In and Converge. Therefore I Am, Boston's latest hometown heroes, have been making a name for themselves since 2004. The band has self-released 3 eps and embarked on over 7 U.S. tours - and shows no sign of slowing down.Impressed by their level of commitment and initiative, the band - Alex Correia, vocals; Brian Marquis, vocals & guitar; Travis Alexander, guitar; James Creighton, bass; Chris Fernandes, drums - was signed to Equal Vision Records in August 2008. "EVR's past and current roster boasts bands that have fought the same battles that we face today, being thrown between multiple genres. Growing up with many of those bands and seeing their success, and more importantly their impact, in underground and popular music is what gives us the reassurance that we're working with the right team," explained Marquis. This fall, Therefore I Am will head into Strangeways Recording studio in Providence, RI to record their debut full length with ex-Hot Rod Circuit drummer and producer, Michael Poorman (Piebald, Tsunami Bomb, Paulson). The album will be mixed by Brian McTernan (Circa Survive, Thrice, Hot Water Music) at Salad Days in Baltimore, MD. The song writing process is truly a collaborative effort, with each member bringing their own tastes and influences (such as At The Drive-In, Saves The Day, Glassjaw) to the table. "It's nice to know we're not all fans of the same music," affirmed Correia. "We always have a ton of ideas flowing out and they all somehow merge into one sound."Therefore I Am's plans for 2009 are already shaping up to include a lot of time on the road. With seemingly limitless energy and enthusiasm, it's hard to imagine them doing anything else. "We truly love what we do and each other and that is the foundation of this band," says Marquis. "As long as we have that, it's all up from here." Therefore I Am Escape Songs | 1. | The Publicist |

Escape album
$9.99 Guitarist Dave Mustaine was an original member of thrash-pioneers Metallica. But he was booted from the band during the recording of that band's debut album, KILL 'EM ALL. Instead of moping around, Mustaine returned to California and immediately formed another group--Megadeth. He promised his fans that the new outfit would be faster and more lethal than his former band, and Megadeth's 1985 debut, KILLING IS MY BUSINESS, AND BUSINESS IS GOOD, made good on this threat. Megadeth and Metallica duked it out in the music press, but both acts thrived. In 1986, each released its finest record, Metallica's MASTER OF PUPPETS ...

| | Tim Garrigan Beyond The Ruins Of My Mind CD (2007)
Escape CD music
$10.15 " Beyond the Ruins of my Mind" consists of 11 songs by Tim Garrigan, who sings, and plays a variety of instruments on the recording: acoustic and electric guitars, bass, organ, and percussion. The songs were recorded and mixed by Charles Burst in NYC in a total of 8 days between late 2003 and early 2004. Garrigan benefitted from the help of Burst, at the time, a member of the NYC band The Occassion, who was generous enough to play drums, percussion, and bass on a number of tracks, and recruited several friends, including, Marlon Sporer, also of The Occasion, who played bass on several tracks; and Jim D'amico, who played bass or keys on many of the tracks. Garrigan also recruited Dianna Martin for harmony vocals, Britta Steiner, on violin, at that time, a member of Edison Woods, for several tracks, and Hank Shteamer, of STATS, who played drums on several tracks. The songs span a range of styles from folk, country-rock, rock-n-roll, modern rock, dirge waltz, to high-energy blues rock – all containing lyrics of strong poetic quality From the joyful yet yearning country-rock of the first song “Oh, Baby it’s You (Can’t You See)” to the pastoral chord movements of the “personal is political” confessional of “History,” to the urban folk-rock of “Mama and Papa” with its Jerry Garcia-like guitar work, to the wistful waltz of “It All Comes Back to You,” to the reflective, transcendental spirit of the title track “Ruins of my Mind”; … to the bar-rock howl of “Rock-n-Roll ...

Escape CD music
$11.39 Dallas Perkins hit the fast lane with “Unbecoming” By Mark A. CheskeyIt was good luck that I didn’t get a big speeding ticket the first week or so I had a preview copy of Dallas Perkins’ upcoming EP “Unbecoming” in my sedan’s CD changer. Veteran axeman Dallas and the boys probably don’t realize it, but they’ve laid down some of the best driving music I’ve heard in years. There is no way to keep this CD under ¾ volume and the speedometer much under 70 mph. It just keeps nudging to the floor as you journey through all four tracks. “Unbecoming” gets your attention immediately with “Taken Alive”. This straight ahead rocker hooks you with its two quick verses and then dissident refrain, displaying Dallas’s vocal range. Dallas then more than reminds you he is a premier guitarist with a 10- second face-melter. He means business with the guitar, even though ...
