Deciding it was time for a change he ran an ad in the Austin Chronicle and found his perfect guitar slinging foil in the seven string wizardry of Bryan Cameron's lyric yet blistering solos. Drums are provided by Brian "Twitch" Cook, a monster skins pounder with a great sense of humor and an unmatched passion for music.The Newest Member of the Whore is Kress Lochridge. hi, my name is ashley chapman and i am a singer-songwriter. i would like to talk about everything that led up to my debut album six strings and a dream.i began writing music at age eleven as a way to express thoughts and feelings. i would write about different things that held my interest. it was also a way to express myself when I was angry or sad, instead of screaming or crying. as an alternative i simply wrote things down. in doing that i discovered a love for composing.i started performing in public very young with cover songs that i loved to sing. at first i participated in different talent shows including 4h, lions club, performances my piano/voice teacher put together, and a school talent show. this prepared me for the gigs i would start doing when i was thirteen.the summer after fifth grade i began taking guitar lessons. i learned to love it and soon my lyrics could be put to music. as soon as i had enough material my mom started looking for opportunities for me to perform. i continued with 4h, but began to sing my own songs. then i started performing at bars, restaurants, coffee houses, and music houses. that is where i am now. i am seventeen years old, a junior in high school, with my first cd, and looking into the future for bigger and better things. my recording experience was incredible. i was addicted from the first session on. it was so awesome to hear my songs being put to music and produced to sound radio ready. the guys at the studio were great. when i first went into my first session i was so afraid I would mess up and embarrass myself, but they were too goofy for me to be embarrassed ...

A Rooster for the Masses (AR4TM) formed in the fall 2004 just on the cusp of the re-election of George W. Bush. With the world filled with high political tension and social angst Rooster started writing music. The songs created were a hybrid of forms, drawing influence from many eras of rock, electro, shoe gaze, reggae, disco, punk and metal.After writing and touring regionally for a year AR4TM went into the studio and recorded “Gallo Rojo” released in 2006. After 2 years of playing shows, which included providing local support for Hard Fi and New Model Army, recording demos and changes in line-up, fast forward to 2008… on the verge of another election and the beginning of a new era. With even more turmoil in our society and in the midst of a collapsing economy AR4TM introduces “Broken Era”, songs that reflect our times and our hopes for change."Raleigh's A Rooster for the Masses wrote and recorded its debut EP, Gallo Rojo, not long after George W. Bush landed his second term, or when most every new rock band you heard cited Gang of Four as a reference for disco-fueled post-punk and politics. The Rooster's been slow to answer the call of Rojo, a quick-paced politico lasher that leaned hard left from Franz Ferdinand's Top 40 beats and hooks. Luckily, on its first full-length, Broken Era, the band expands its sound and scope, borrowing cues from Radiohead (hear the skittering beats of "This Drawing" or the OK Computer lift of "The Finger") and reggae ("End Game" plays out an easy existentialism over a buoyant bassline). Never fear, though, as the Rooster still sings truth to power over angular guitar lines and hi-hat pulses, whether riffing on the downtown void King's Barcade left behind on "No Party Downtown" (the band released Rojo there in 2006) or territorial tendencies on "Headwaters." ...
