Initially planned solely as a standard double-disc reissue in the wake of the blockbuster success of The Fame, Lady Gaga decided to release the new material as a separate EP called The Fame Monster in addition to the standard two-CD set, where it's tacked onto a now standardized version of her debut. It's a nice move for fans, plus it helps emphasize the new material, which does act as a bridge from the debut to a forthcoming full-length. Everything on The Fame Monster bears a galvanized Eurotrash finish, as evident on the heavy steel synths of "Bad Romance" and the updated ABBA revision "Alejandro," as it is on the rock & roll ballad "Speechless" -- its big guitars lifted from Noel Gallagher -- and the wonderful, perverse march "Teeth." Even the stuttering splices on "Telephone," a duet with Beyoncé, leans to the other side of the Atlantic, which just emphasizes the otherness that's become Gaga's calling card. In today's culture of post-modern rock music, they stand between what was and what is soon-to-be, eagerly awaiting the chance to take their place in music history as one of the most influential bands of their era.

Born in the summer of 1995, Cherry Hill, (consisting of Brandon Kiser on lead vocals, Matthew James on lead guitar/vocals, Don Stifter on rhythm guitar/vocals, Jared Owen on bass and Jamie Urcioli on drums) began their musical careers fresh out of high school. Under the moniker "Copperpot", the founding members of Cherry Hill, Brandon Kiser, Matthew James and Jamie Urcioli, quickly hit the ground running. A few failed members and miscellaneous band break-ups later, the three found the mix they were looking for and quickly recruited bass player Jared Owen and rhythm guitar player Don Stifter to round out the group.

Soon after the band was formed, the fellas made the rounds performing in venues such as the USA Cafe, The Railhead and the Sand Dollar Lounge. They established a residency at "The Boston" in Las Vegas and quickly gained a reputation as the "band to be seen". The band's performance at the Eat'M Festival caught the attention of the execs at WindWard Records and shortly after, the band was offered their first record deal and began touring the LA area racking up performances at venues like The Knitting Factory, The Cat Club, The Key Club and Coconut Teasers.

In 1998, production wrapped on the band's first CD "Copperpot" but unfortunately, WindWard Records folded and the band returned home to Las Vegas where they continued to practice, write songs and perform live.

Now under the name "Cherry Hill," the band released their first independently produced CD entitled "The Struggle" in May of 2003, showing friends, fans and critics alike that ...

Sonic Explorers are a creative and inspired acoustic jazz quintet. Their repertoire focuses on the original instrumental compositions of Jerry Sabatini. Compositions influenced by many styles, including modern, bebop and avant garde jazz, 20th Century Classical, Eastern, Middle Eastern and Balkan folk music as well as Latin, funk and rhythm & blues.

The band performs with a high level of musicality, energy and spirit while combining sensitive group interplay with dynamic solo improvisations. Their explorations of both written and improvisational music make each live performance a unique and exciting experience. Their 1998 'Beatnik Oblivion' (Nada Brahma Records) release features the following New England-based musicians:Jerry Sabatini is the leader and principal composer/arranger for Sonic Explorers. He plays trumpet and flugelhorn with a profoundly unique style influenced by his love for such trumpet greats as Miles Davis, Freddie Hubbard, Woody Shaw, Lee Morgan, Don Cherry and Dave Douglas. He has studied jazz improvisation, theory and arranging at SUNY at Buffalo as well as improvisation and composition for many years with internationally renowned jazz tenor saxophonist, Jerry Bergonzi. His compositional education comes mostly from the 'self-taught school' and is inspired by his vast love of jazz, classical and world music.

He has led and co-led many musical projects and appears as a sideman on many US New England recordings and live performances including work with avant garde pop group and Sub-Pop recording artists Combustible Edison and modern jazz quartet Kakalla led by bassist Thomson Kneeland.
