At the age of five, Charley made his public singing debut. It was in a local talent contest. He had been singing around his house and his mom quickly recognized something was special about his voice. He began singing in church and other public functions and quickly gained a reputation as the "little kid with the big voice". He soon became a hometown favorite and was singing throughout Eastern Utah region winning contest after contest. His love for country music has been a life-long passion. "Country is who and what I am. It is only natural for me to sing the songs that I love and relate too." While attending college at BYU-Idaho Charley was selected to be member of an elite performing group, "Showtime Company". They performed a variety of styles of music throughout the western United States and the British Isles, but it was Charley who always sang the country selections.

Singing is not the only thing Charley does. He is an entertainer which is just an extension of his singing ability. His high energy and raw emotion makes the audience feel a part of every performance. Charley's first album, "Greatest Hours", was written and produced by Charley and his friend, Jordan Allen, while still in college. With the success of this album, along with personal advice from George Strait, Charley decided to push his career to a new level.

In the summer of 2001 Charley loaded up his truck with everything he owned and headed of to Nashville, Tennessee. It didn't take him long to get his foot in the door in the country music industry. Charley was hired to work for a Music Row publishing company where he personally represented the writers. It was here that Charley learned the in's and out's of the country business. He became personal friends with Tony Martin, Mark Nesler and number of Nashville "greats".

While in Nashville, Charley sat back and watched and learned. He quickly realized that he had a lot to learn and do before he was ready for a music career. He wanted to get better at writing, singing and playing. So he used his farm-boy mentality and went to work. He played and sang at writer's shows and bars on the famous Broadway Street in downtown Nashville. He sang at the Wild Horse Salon and with Tim McGraw's band. He finally realized he was ready to jump in and move forward.

In the years since its initial release in 2001, this soothing and healing instrumental material has also been used for music therapy, by teachers and therapists to calm students with special needs, for yoga and pilates classes, and for insomnia.
