| Animation Soundtrack Music Animation Soundtrack Music Review Nice Sophmore Effort! While Mile's debut "Rebel" in my opinion, is and always will be his best album, his second release "Stranger In The City" is definately no slouch. A change in style is shown in his mega hit "Slow Down" and "Manhattan Skyline", both having lots of disco influence. Submitted by BC ("Hallandale Beach, Fl.,USA") Was This Review Helpful? VERY CLASSY ADULT ROCK Excellent second album from someone who was really writing and playing at the standard of, say, CHRIS REA, but with less renown. This is classy, often thrilling adult rock. Not at all dated. The title track riff can lodge in your cortext for eons, once heard. Look also for first album, "MUSIC"- excellent as well. Submitted by David Martin (Mt. Martha, Australia.) Animation Soundtrack album
$6.09 The title Heavy Metal is somewhat misleading. Sure, this terrific soundtrack from the 1981 animated cult favorite features heavy metal and hard rock numbers. But the title refers to National Lampoon's sci-fi/fantasy magazine on which the film is based. Musically, Heavy Metal offers more than the title suggests, and the songs fit perfectly with their respective film segments. Heavy Metal was originally a double album, but at 62 minutes it fits just fine on one CD. Sixteen songs are contributed by Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Cheap Trick, Devo, Donald Fagen, Don Felder, Grand Funk Railroad, Sammy Hagar, Journey, Nazareth, Stevie Nicks, Riggs, and Trust; Cheap Trick, Felder, and Riggs each provide two. ...

| | Liz Mandville Greeson Back In Love Again CD (2003)
Animation Soundtrack album
$12.25 Liz Mandville Greeson is a talented, soulful, and versatile singer. Blues-based and at her best in that idiom, she can also sing with the ferocious passion of Janis Joplin, she leads a gospel-style a cappella group on "Shine Clear with Joy," and she straddles the boundaries between blues, R&B, country, and folk, with doses of rock here and there. Even more impressive is that she wrote all 13 of the songs on Back in Love Again. Joined by a crack backup group, Liz Mandville Greeson puts on a colorful and memorable show throughout this recommended set. ~ Scott Yanow
Back In Love Again, Liz's third Earwig album, is her autobiography of romance, self-penned tunes that comment on the roller coaster ride of love. While rooted in the blues genre, the recordings demonstrate Liz's stylistic versatilityhard-hitting blues, Americana, R&B, swing and sensual ballads. Carrying on the tradition of the classic blues singer, she engages the listener with humor and risque innuendo. This Chicago diva is a powerhouse-a soul-drenched singer, songwriter and show-woman! Liz Mandville Greeson spent the late 1980s running up and down the road with her R&B band the Supernaturals. She played thousands of gigs, from smoky biker bars to swanky theatres, casinos to yacht clubs, honing her musical chops and crowd-pleasing skills. In 1994, a chance meeting with bassist Aron Burton led to Liz’ subsequent performance with him at the 1994 Chicago Blues fest, two tracks on his 1996 Earwig release, “Aron Burton Live”, and a long-standing performing relationship. “Live” also marked Liz’s recording debut and the beginning of her professional association with Earwig Music Company. Liz holds the distinction of being the only white vocalist to perform regularly at the internationally known Blue Chicago nightclubs, where she held court from 1994 to 1999. Backed by former Junior Wells bandleader George Baze, Liz contributed two tracks ...

$7.09 This stunning film from director Brad Silberling is a bittersweet story about a young man's struggle to maintain a relationship with his would-be in-laws in the wake of his fiancé's death. With a cast of veteran actors bringing unbelievable depth to the characters, Silberling wanted to ensure the songs included in the film not only enhanced the on screen intent, but also carried individual strength. He certainly succeeded. One of the most anticipated soundtracks of 2002, Moonlight Mile is stunning in breadth and scope. From the Rolling Stones' haunting title track, which defines the set, ...
