| | Arlen Roth Toolin' Around Woodstock: Featuring Levon Helm CD Arlen Roth Discography of CDs
Renowned guitarist and session musician Arlen Roth travels up to Woodstock, New York. to record with famed drummer and ex-Band member Levon Helm on TOOLIN' AROUND WOODSTOCK. As one would expect from these two roots rockers, the fare is vintage Americana, with a 14-track set list of classic rock-&-roll songs, including Chuck Berry's "Sweet Little Sixteen," Bob Dylan's "Ballad of a Thin Man," and Buck Owen's "Cryin' Time." Helm's high, country-tinged tenor lends earthy color, and a host of top-drawer session musicians give the disc a tight, polished sheen.

Toolin' Around Woodstock: Featuring Levon Helm album
$12.09 This is, perhaps, the one. Derek Trucks has been on an aesthetic quest for something since he began his own recording career in 1997 -- apart from his membership in the Allman Brothers Band. Each record has gone further into establishing Trucks not only as a slide guitar wizard (that happened when he was still in his teens), but also as a serious songwriter, fine arranger, and bandleader. The Derek Trucks Band, as evidenced ...

Toolin' Around Woodstock: Featuring Levon Helm songs
$11.45 Like Billie Holiday, John Lee Hooker, and Kurt Cobain, among others, Lucinda Williams is an artist with that certain difficult-to-define quality, the ability to channel the collective soul through a voice that is intimate, personal, and entirely her own. WEST, Williams's 2007 release, bears all the hallmarks of her best work: excellent songcraft, poetically tough lyrics, and her angel-on-morphine voice. As an album, it is her most consistent and appealing since 1998's CAR WHEELS ON A GRAVEL ROAD.
Williams's seemingly ...
