Beautiful Noise album by Neil Diamond was released Mar 01, 2008 on the Columbia label. Also available in a CD 3-pack with CLASSICS: THE EARLY YEARS (1966-1967) and THE JAZZ SINGER. Produced by the Band's former leader Robbie Robertson, 1976's BEAUTIFUL NOISE features the cream of L.A. sessionhood, as well as New Orleans pianist Dr. John and Robertson's ex-Band mate Garth Hudson, in a set which, though it hews closely to Diamond's Tin Pan Alley roots, was the rawest the singer had sounded on record since the days of "Cracklin' Rosie." Songs like the gospel-tinged "Surviving the Life" and the jazzy "Street Life" conjure Diamond's gritty Coney Island roots, while the title track is one of the most appealing of his '70s hits. All tracks have been digitally remastered. Neil at his best
I bought this after listening to Neil's new 12 songs cd. I felt it was the last good album he made before the slow slide in the 80's and 90's. Just wanted to here it again. It does seem to have more echo on it than I remember though. Still a real great disc. Oh, The new CD 12 Songs is awesome! But it today!

THIS 'NOISE' I LIKE!!!
Neil's album "Beautiful Noise" is a true concept album. It's the kind of album you never tire of hearing, all Neil's albums are like this they have this 'quality' about then. Songs like "Stargazer" & "Dry Your Eyes wre also recorded by such greats as Shirley Bassey & Frank Sinatra. Check out "Surviving The Life" when ends with a wonderful soul singer giving a brilliant "wail" on the background. If you're new to the sounds of Neil Diamond this is a good album to start with.

Best Neil Diamond CD
I love the CD. Neil Diamond proved that he was capable of doing animal music by the song "Jungletime" and "Street Lies." My father constantly told how awful my animal music was everytime those two songs were played from my CD player. I started thinking that Neil Diamond should have been considered a rock singer once this CD came out. He can scream and shout.
