| | Lightnin Willie & The Poorboys Roadworks Tour CD Lightnin Willie & The Poorboys Discography of CDs
yet another adventure down the road of our musical life. this was recorded at Barry's "Running Horse" in nottingham england a great venue for any band. we had just finished a three month tour in europe and we recorded this at the end. we had a great time as usual. we just mixed it and here you have it... we decided not to 'fix it' in the studio with overdubs so there is the human element there. we aren't a pop band and needless to say some nights are better than others and this was the night we recorded...champagne, beer, whiskey, lots of our fans and fun. the band consists of: lightnin'willie-guitar/vocals;giles king-harmonica/vocals; spy-bass/vocals;and sam "sqeaky wheels" kelly-drums. these are some of the best guys in the music business... life is short as i am learning and i am proud to work with such stellar musicians if it was over tomorrow i would have no regrets. being a musician you are always learning...i can't play like my heroes nor can they play like us. we thank all those that have come before us without them i don't think we'd have the music we have today. each generation has it's own i'm glad some of the past has prevailed to inspire musicians like us. until the next cd... Purchase Roadworks Tour CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Derek Trucks Already Free CD (2009) (Import) Japan
Roadworks Tour album
$15.29 Derek Trucks started out as a young guitar prodigy playing alongside his uncle Butch in the Allman Brothers Band, but began following his own path in the late 1990s. ALREADY FREE is the result of a decade-plus spent sharpening his skills and growing his soul. It's probably his loosest, warmest, funkiest offering to date. While it's not markedly different from the Southern-tinged blues-rock ...
| | J J Cale Naturally CD (1971)
Roadworks Tour CD music
$8.15 NATURALLY has stood up over the years as a perfect debut. When released in 1971, it introduced J.J. Cale's rootsy, laid back grooves to excellent effect, and in the decades since, this album and its follow-up, REALLY, have remained classics of mellow '70s country-rock. Riding on the success and easy blues feel of Eric Clapton's cover of Cale's "After Midnight," NATURALLY goes even deeper into roots music, concocting a mixture of country, blues, and boogie that is full of downhome goodness while it drips with cool.
Cale's version of "After Midnight" is here, as is his loping "Call Me the Breeze" (later covered by Lynyrd Skynyrd), and ...
| | Muddy Waters Fathers & Sons CD (1969) Remastered

The resurgence of Chicago-based blues in the mid- to late 1960s came with an entirely new breed of icons to bear the torch. Among them were the decidedly electric Paul Butterfield Blues Band. Joining Muddy Waters (guitar/vocals) and Otis Spann (piano) on the aptly titled Fathers and Sons are three Butterfield Blues Band alumni: Michael Bloomfield (guitar), Sam Lay (drums), and leader Paul Butterfield (guitar). Further augmenting the personnel is Booker T. and the MG's Donald "Duck" Dunn (bass) and Buddy ...
| | Eric Clapton Riding With The King CD (2000)
Roadworks Tour songs
$10.15 Although Eric Clapton and B.B. King's long friendship originated during a chance meeting and subsequent jam session at New York City's Cafe Au Go Go in 1967, the idea for a collaborative album only crystallized during the sessions for King's 1997 album DEUCES WILD. The resulting record, 2000's RIDING WITH THE KING, is a stellar event, thanks to a wealth of rich material and a solid supporting cast including Jimmie Vaughan, Joe Sample, and Steve Gadd.
B.B. King's extensive catalog provides a wellspring of inspiration, including signature songs such as the smoldering "Three O' Clock Blues," alongside lesser-known numbers like the ribald shuffle "Days Of Old" ...
