| The Aesthetics Personally I like the video because it was basically telling a story. It showed this high school girl who was just tired of life and wanted change and became a rebel doing anything and everything she wanted. She thought she was above the “law” and went around doing whatever she wanted with about care for the consequences. I liked this because it showed that she was going to change who she was in life but she took it too far and lost respect for and from others. Then, my favorite part, at the end she was stopped by Haley Williams (the band's lead singer) and she confronted her and reveled her true identity. She took out her fake breast enhancers and wiped off her cheap make-up and then walked away. I feel like this is a big problem many high school students face. They eventually encounter someone that has no respect for anything and try to show dominance why being rude and rebellious. I believe the video shows a lot of emotion through colors. The word RIOT is written all over the wall in black and white and on the floor. To me this represents power and purity. When the band was on the set there was an emphasis on the color red. This made sense to me because they were trying to show off the anger they had. The lead singer had red hair, red lip stick, and red pants, while everyone else in the bad also had red pants/ shorts. During the high school portion, there was a lot of blue. The lockers were blue, the main actress was wearing a blue dress. This was kind of the opposite of what I was expecting because she walked around being rebellious and I pictured red being the color to depict this. On the other hand, she was being cold and heartless which blue represents. For the main part of the video I would describe the lighting as dark and rebellious because it tended to have darker background especially on the set of the band.
