| | Songs From Dawson's Creek 2 Songs From Dawson's Creek Vol. 2 Soundtrack CD
This is an Enhanced Audio CD, which contains regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files.
Having entered its fourth season inheriting the teen drama mantle from the defunct BEVERLY HILLS 90210 and PARTY OF FIVE, the WB's DAWSON'S CREEK commemorated this momentous occasion by releasing a second collection of songs. Like the first volume, SONGS FROM DAWSON'S CREEK: VOLUME 2 features a roster of predominantly newer artists sure to strike a chord with the show's loyal fans.
The breadth of talent corralled here encompasses TOTAL REQUEST LIVE fanatics (Jessica Simpson's smash "I Think I'm In Love With You"), scruffy skate-punks (Wheatus' punk-pop nugget "Teenage Dirtbag"), and alt country fans (The Jayhawks' jangly "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me"). Although other standout tracks include French-speaking chanteuse Lara Fabian's sweeping "Givin' Up on You" and Long Island power-poppers Nine Days' infectious "If I Am," it takes a pair of unknowns to inject a little gloom into these cheery proceedings. Pete Yorn takes an ambient folk turn with the Paul Westerberg-like "Broken Boy," while newcomer Mary Beth Maziarz and her piano turn in a stripped-down cover of the Monkees' "Daydream Believer" that's sure to give Vonda Shepherd a run for her money.

Songs From Dawson's Creek Vol. 2 Soundtrack
$14.79 GaPa is a duo comprised of musicians Ganesh Anandan and Patrick Graham. Based in Montréal, the two percussionists have been working closely together for the past 5 years, exploring new techniques and compositional structures for percussion with a special emphasis on finger drumming styles. Featuring compositions by both artists, and employing an extensive array of instruments, such as the bodhran, kanjira, riqq, taiko and invented instruments. GaPa draws inspiration from styles and traditions as varied as Irish, Arabic, and Japanese music. In particular, the complex South-Indian, or karnatak rhythmic system permeates the duo's sound. With a sense of humour, a modern sensibility, vocal percussion and melodic elements, this unique duo is an organic cross-cultural mélange that defies classification. GaPa often collaborates with guest artists, including concert appearances with noted percussionists Glen Velez, USA (1999), Ramesh Shotham, India (2001) and Carlo Rizzo, Italy (2001).Critics have classified GaPa as a personal and unique percussion duo. The musicians have a wide range of finger and hand techniques that combine South Indian, Persian and personalised styles. They make their instruments speak and sing so to speak!
Ganesh Anandan and Patrick Graham are two percussionists involved with the Montreal world music and avant-garde music scenes -- Anandan as an improviser, Graham as a contemporary music percussionist. In the fall of 2003, the pair appeared on Robert Marcel Lepage's album La Machine ŕ Explorer ...

The DonutsTMFollow-Up Their Acclaimed Grammy® Nomination Nominated AlbumandFollow-up the Follow-upTwo New Albums; One New Nut; Still No FatSlo-Mo Turns On The Love LightYou’ve read this far, you know the deal: Three years back Philadelphia’s own Donuts dropped Sgt. Jack’s Pepper Mill, the fastest-selling record in Chapter 7 Records’ storied fifteen-year history; they followed quickly with the critically-acclaimed Buckley and struck soon again with The Monkey Wrench Gang. Payola checks couldn’t bounce before the Nuts had earned their first, second and third Grammy® nomination nominations. And thus did the Kings of Pirate Radio rest? Did they let the trail go cold and cast comfortably about their footnote of near-achievement? Did they fill their rice bowls with rave reviews and simply decide to nap? You bet they did. The Donuts are shiftless and lazy, and laughed like lords while for eighteen months the world went wanting for the greasiest garage-born power-pop likely to be plugged in this press release. Entire babies came into being, Fathead drummed through his own puberty, and Dieter Affeschlusselgruppe – no relation to Andy Affeschlusselgruppe – cruised in to play keys. But fear not. The Nuts are back like a rash and rapt on catching ...
