Available now is the release of the 1st official Gritty McGruff studio album, Book Of Revelation vol 1. Book Of Revelation vol 1 is remixed material from a previous unreleased album titled Independence Day. Independence Day was a 20 track album that was scrapped due to faulty equipment(problem with mono channel on all 20 recorded tracks). New equipment was purchased and all 20 tracks were revamped (new beats, new vocals). Due to the time it took to do this, Independence Day was split into two albums renamed Book Of Revelation Vol 1 and Book Of Revelation Vol 2. The titles are tribute to main producer (at that time) Revelation. After six long years, the release of the first of two Revelation albums has hit pavemant. Backed by producers(Revelation, L-Gus), and the DJ(Smooth Smitty) McGruff gives it to u in it's purist form. Book Of Revelation Vol 1 also includes guest dj Bishop, Juanito Blanco, Hybrid, Haze(Haze Attacks) and cover designs by Jus-FCA. In pre-release interviews, Royce da 5'9" laid out a perfect description of his style: a Detroit kid brought up on Nas whose head was sent spinning once Eminem came around. Three years in the making--twelve months in prison for a DUI being part of the problem--STREET HOP often has a solid foundation that's absolutely classic in feel but also features those quirky, sick-o rhymes that are distinctly post-Shady. "I mix a between Chris Brown and Chris Jericho/Where's your daughter?" is an unsettling bit from the freaky track "Street Hop 2010" which goes on to reference Marlon Brando's Apache friend picking up his Oscar right before rattling off some psycho-babble about "syphilis nun chucks" and other bizarre whatnot.
