| | Leon Kittrell How Low Is Your Down Low CD Leon Kittrell Discography of CDs
Like many great R&B vocalists, Marvin Gaye, Teddy Pendergrass and Jeffery Osborn, Leon started his musical career as a drummer and eventually moved up front as a featured lead singer. After years of honing his craft and performing in local bands where he grew up in Tucson Arizona, Leon moved to Los Angeles California along with band member and friend, now renowned Malaco recording artist Billy Ray Charles. There they formed a group adding bassist Ted Butler and keyboardist Rich Cason called 'The Bare Facts' later becoming one of LA's hottest nightclub attractions Formula IV. Under the banner Formula IV, the band, with Leon as featured vocalist, received their first professional record contract with Rocky Road records a subsidiary of Clive Davis Arista label. While there, they laid tracks for label mates Al Wilson, The Fifth Dimensions and debuted the album 'Come and get yourself some' to critical acclaim. With the addition of Earl Espy on bass and the soulful Alfreda James, Leon and company changed their name to Formula V and became the house band for one of the most prestigious adult nightclubs in Los Angeles, Freddy Jets Pied Piper. Artists such as Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Chaka Khan, Earth Wind & Fire and a celebrity list too numerous to name would jam with this well respected rhythm section. Leon and the band received their second record contract with 20th Century Records the self-titled 'Formula V' LP. When the music industry changed to more dance oriented 12 inch singles, Leon ventured into a solo effort with the club classic 'Killer Groove'' on independent Write On Records creating so many sales on the 'street level' that southern soul giant Malaco Records came on board as a major distributor. Becoming disenchanted with the youth only direction of the music industry, Leon moved back to Tucson Arizona and pursued a degree in education. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education and a Master of Arts in Educational Counseling, but teaching only didn't fulfill the music in his soul, so he moonlighted with local blues band 'Leon Kittrell and Statesboro ' eventually being inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame. Now with only the love of music as an incentive, Leon has released on his own label a musical effort of love and soul songs that embodies everything that is true and real from his musical heart. If your taste in music is romance, soul and a hint of ole' school nostalgia then this CD 'How Low Is Your Down Low' is destined to be your most played. How Low Is Your Down Low CD music
$11.18 With Adam Lambert, American Idol finally got a finalist who was completely, utterly contemporary, aware of what's hip in music and culture and aware of how music is made and consumed in 2009, never seeming to try to follow fads or set trends, just embodying the time. Mercifully, he came in second to Kris Allen, for if he came in first he may have had to tame his self-styled glamazon ways. A second place finish allowed Lambert to come out of the closet and indulge in his penchant for theater on his debut, For Your Entertainment -- which isn't quite the same thing as camp, for if Adam Lambert is anything, he's earnest about his dress-up, never winking ...

How Low Is Your Down Low music CDs
$9.39 "Little Bit Is Better Than Nada" was nominated for a 1997 Grammy Award for Best Country Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal.
Working within the confines of a style as singular as Tex-Mex, one of the greatest difficulties is finding a way to keep the music sounding fresh. Year after year, the Texas Tornados manage to do just that, serving up spicy slabs of south-of-the-border soul. Their music brings together rock and roll, R&B, country and traditional Mexican folk music (represented in the norteno accordion of Flaco Jimenez and the stirring, romantic voice of Freddy Fender). On 4 ACES, the mutant charm of this musical hybrid is exemplified by the mysterious, Del Shannon-esque title cut, the country-flavored torch ballad "In My Mind" and the 6/8 New Orleans stroll of "Tell Me." On those and other tunes, the Tornados prove themselves adept at working endlessly appealing variations on the style that is their foundation.
Recorded at Arlyn Recording Studio, Austin, Texas. Includes liner notes by Doug Sahm.
The West Side Horn Section: Rocky Morales, Cullen Offer (tenor saxophone); Louis Bustos (baritone saxophone); Al Gomez (trumpet).

How Low Is Your Down Low CD music
$5.95 No less great is the other huge single, "Lover Come Back to Me"." When Burns commands at the end of the chorus, "Kick it right down, right down!" it's as memorable as mass media pop of any stripe ever gets. The Stock/Aitken/Waterman crew doesn't do all that much different per sé on this album than Zeus B Held did on the previous one. While once or twice the trio's tendency towards relative blandness gets the better of the material, most of the time it's a good marriage between Burns' ...
