Demon Entrails
$11.59 Five Finger Death Punch stormed rock radio in 2007 with "The Bleeding" (from debut album THE WAY OF THE FIST), a powerful, emotionally tense track that matched vintage, Metallica-style thrash with a throat-shredding chorus more typical of late aughts metalcore. The Los Angeles-based band's sophomore disc WAR IS THE ANSWER mines much of the same territory as that breakout song, keeping the flame of the classic `80s Four Horsemen sound alive with snap-tight chugga-chugga ...
| | Between The Buried And Me The Great Misdirect CD (2009)
Demon Entrails
$11.49 After Between the Buried and Me pushed metalcore purists away with their most progressive release, COLORS, they decided to push even harder for their fifth release. A diverse outing with an unruly amount of genres crammed into only six songs, THE GREAT MISDIRECT is a highly adventurous, very convoluted, wildly dynamic, and extremely difficult listen. Briggs, Waring, Rogers, Waggoner, and Richardson are in top form, with their script-flipping abilities ...

| | Jake Owen One Small Renaissance CD (2005)
Demon Entrails
$16.45 One Small Renaissance Album BiographyWhile many young artists can get caught up in the need to quickly establish a long-term creative identity, twenty-five year old guitarist/vocalist/composer Jake Owen has fully embraced the ideal that his personal quest involves phases and experimentations that will forever deny him the security of a specific genre or label. While being in this position would possibly present a problem for other artists, Jake flourishes in the freedom. He has drawn from modern songwriters, composers, improvisers, visual artists, and the world around him to create a confident and mature artistic voice. The result lies somewhere between the sensitive musings of Jeff Buckley and the instrumental explorations of John Scofield. One listen to his newest effort, One Small Renaissance, will immediately show his comfort in residing in this "genre purgatory." "I've been searching a long time for comfort," Owen remarks. "It's just recently that I've discovered the joy in not knowing exactly what's about to come around the next corner; artistically and in life." Jake used the transition into his mid-twenties to thoroughly explore and question his artistic mind and get a better idea of where his potential could really take him. With the release of One Small Renaissance, Jake has chronicled several moods from this period of self discovery. Tracks like "Survive" and "Song for the Rain" carefully examine the polarities of human emotion while a tune like "Gritty Teeth" gives Jake and the ensemble a chance to explore the nuances of groove and extended harmony. While the record sounds remarkably focused and deliberate, Owen recalls that the creative process leading up to it posed quite a challenge. "My life changed drastically within the period of a few short months. I hit this huge wall after I was done with college that made me take some serious inventory in my life. I needed to reassess ...

| | Andy Thomas Girl Who Wrote The Song CD (2008)
Demon Entrails
$16.45 Andy ThomasI grew up in East Texas in the 50’s and 60’s, listening to various Country and Gospel stars. From the likes of Ray Price, Merle Haggard, Marty Robbins, George Jones, Jim Reeves, Patsy Cline, Connie Smith, Red Foley etc. In the last 10 or 15 years I have come to enjoy the music of George Strait, Alan Jackson, Tracy Byrd, Patty Loveless, Lee Ann Womack and others in the “traditional” Country Music sound. I’ve been influenced by many Artist through their unique and distinct styles. Listening to Ray Price for so many years, and the fact that I believe he has one of the finest voices ever to be recorded took me on a journey covering most of his songs. This album, though not “traditional”, lends to those roots. Larry Fargo was a very good friend of mine from the North Dallas area. We met about 1983, and spent 10 years “chasing” the Country Music dream. He passed away about 4 years ago. Larry, in my opinion, and other’s, was one of the best “unknown” Songwriter’s that has lived. The “twist” he could put into words and hide between the lines would make anyone a fan very quickly. The 10 songs on this album show the diversity of thoughts that he had on love, marriage and relationships. We sat many hours talking about life, the ups and downs. He always had a notebook with him wherever he was, filled with thoughts and phrases. I was never sure when something that we were talking about would end up in one of his songs. We talked a lot about the music business, and the rewards if you were “lucky” enough to get one of your songs recorded by the right Artist. I’m sad to say, that never happened for Larry while he was alive. He wrote, as many of the people currently in Nashville do, for a specific style and Artist. There are 4 new songs on this album that have never been released to the public before now. He was a very big fan of Don Williams and showed that in “The Girl Who Wrote The Song”. He became a very big follower of George Strait and admired the songs that he chose to record. We talked many times about George and his career, so he wrote “Out Of The Blue”, and Turnin’ Me Loose On You” in hopes of getting them ...
