Forqueray: Pièces De Clavecin
$12.65 One Minute Revolution is the self-produced debut album from this Orlando, Florida rock quartet. Recorded and mixed between the summers of 2006 and 2007, these fourteen new tracks chronicle the first workings of the band’s new lineup featuring founding members Seth Pause and Danny Hall as well as previous collaborator James Boyd and newcomer Cory Plouf.Formed in 2000, the original lineup included siblings Seth and Kenzie Pause (History), Danny Hall, and Clint Fanney (Band of the Name). The band began playing shows and quickly gained a following in the Orlando area, eventually playing venues such as the House of Blues in Lake Buena Vista and receiving radio airplay on popular Orlando stations. Many lineup changes ensued leaving Seth the only original member, and in 2002, the One Minute Revolution name was dropped. At this time, Seth and his new bandmates, including James Boyd who had previously collaborated with Seth in Clove, continued to create music in new projects such as The Underline ...
| | Doug Howell The Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction CD (2008)
Forqueray: Pièces De Clavecin
$12.65 Doug Howell is a singer-songwriter based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Raised on a farm in mid-Michigan, he went to the University of Michigan, majored in music composition, and got involved in Youth for Christ and other Christian groups. He performed with New Jerusalem for a couple of years, then joined Good News Circle, a traveling evangelistic singing group based in Elgin, Illinois. After traveling the US and recording an album with GNC, Doug left the group and began performing solo. He traveled all over the US, mainly in the midwest, singing in many college concert halls, coffee houses and churches, and produced five solo albums during this period. He settled in Ann Arbor again in 1979. The fourth album, "Songs from Hannah Hurnard's Classic Hinds' Feet on High Places," was recorded just before Christmas, 1982, in London, England, at Abbey Road studios. It is based on the popular Christian allegory, and was released with the cooperation of Tyndale House Publishers. The orchestral arrangements were performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (Doug conducting). This represented a departure in style, but became the best selling of Doug's albums, and still speaks to old and new listeners alike.Around the time the Truth album was released, he began to get more involved in studio writing, arranging and performing. He participated ...
| | Less Than Jake Goodbye Blue & White CD (2002) With DVD
Forqueray: Pièces De Clavecin
$11.65 GOODBYE BLUE & WHITE is a collection of rare recordings and compilation tracks. Less Than Jake includes: Chris (vocals, guitar); Derron (baritone saxophone); Buddy, Pete (trombone); Roger (bass, background vocals); Vinnie (drums). Includes liner notes by Chris, Derron, Buddy and Roger. In 2000, a Less Than Jake press release proudly noted that the band had 76 releases to its credit; presumably that number was accurate, for even hardcore fans had trouble keeping track of all the band's music. From the get-go, LTJ had peppered the scene with releases, appearing on dozens of compilations and unleashing singles with abandon -- so many of both that their second full-length, 1996's Losers, Kings, and Things We Don't Understand, bundled 20 such offerings onto one CD. That same year, LTJ signed to Capitol Records, but that didn't change their modus operandi, as they celebrated their good fortune by swiftly handing their next three singles to a trio of indie labels, while gleefully continuing to record a plethora of tracks for compilations. Which brings listeners to Goodbye Blue & White, an album originally released in 1999, and dedicated exclusively to the band's ever harder to locate vinyl excursions. It's a wild ride, one that cries out for annotation or at least release dates, but neither are provided, shoving younger fans straight onto the roller-coaster ...
