Goodbye Girl album
$10.49 This was the end of the line for Bread. David Gates reunited one last time with James Griffin after a four-year hiatus spawned by a power dispute between the two lead songwriters. The band returned to form pretty well intact, with the Gates power ballad "Lost Without Your Love" cracking the Top Ten. It would be their last hit single. By ...
| | Al Stewart 24 Carrots CD (1980) Bonus Tracks
Goodbye Girl CD music
$10.45 "Here In Angola," "Pandora," and "Indian Summer" were originally released on the LP INDIAN SUMMER.
24 CARROTS is folk-rocker Al Stewart's 1980 album, recorded with Shot in the Dark. This reissue features five bonus tracks, "Here in Angola", "Indian Summer", "Pandora", "Delia's Gone", and "Princess Olivia".
The pun of the title of 24 Carrots -- the first overt signal of humor Al Stewart has displayed in years, possibly ever -- illustrates that a lot has changed since 1978's Time Passages. The loosening of his wit is perhaps the most evident, but the most significant is the departure of producer Alan Parsons, who collaborated with Stewart on his mid-'70s triptych of masterpieces. In truth, 24 Carrots isn't far removed from those high points, because he is indeed still writing at a remarkably consistent pace. No, this ...
| | David Gates Never Let Her Go CD (1975)
Goodbye Girl music CDs
$9.69 No musicians are credited except for the associate producer title given to keyboard player Larry Knechtel and retaining Bread photographer, Frank Bez, as well as engineer Bruce Morgan, who played an important part in David Gates' First from 1973 (and who would engineer Bread's 1977 comeback, Lost Without Your Love ). The lead singer of the '70s very recognizable soft rock hit machine delivers his second solo disc, part of something ...

| | David Gates First CD (1973)
Goodbye Girl album
$9.69 First, David Gates "first" album away from Bread, begins with that distinctive voice and sound his band made famous when he was at the controls. On the initial track of this 1973 release, "Sailing Around the World," he sings "wish that I could start again." The problem here is that Bread had a groove, and a quick comparison is in order: Despite David Bowie's fame after splitting from the Spiders From Mars, rock & roll fans never felt the same way about that artist. So, too, with this soft rock maestro, and regardless of the on-key and in-control aspect of First, it's hard to get a handle on many of these nine original songs. It's a stellar cast behind the identifiable pop figure -- ...

| | Lue Kane The Ride On My Way To The Trap CD (2008)
Goodbye Girl music CDs
$16.45 It is said that the eyes are the window to a man's soul. If you look into the eyes of Lue Kane, AKA Mr. Everythang you will see a soul that far surpasses that of most men. To many Lue Kane could be deemed as a typical rapper trying to make it, but there is nothing typical about this young man. Lue Kane raps with heart and passion about his experiences and growing up in the streets. At the age of 14, Lue Kane began rapping as a means of expression. He saw everyone in his neighborhood rapping and he thought that it was easy and he could do it. The problem was that when Lue Kane began, he felt that he wasn't as good as everyone else. Forced to elevate himself and determined to be great, Lue Kane began to develop his own style. It is that style that set him apart and that has helped to create the swag that he has today. The day before Lue Kane entered into a juvenile program, he recorded his first song, "All I Know", with Big Love, Cinnamon, Lil-A and KingPen. After spending 6 months in a juvenile program, Lue Kane came out ready and focused. With the direction of his cousin Jit, Lue Kane began rapping about things that others were not talking about. The studio became his second home, so much that Jit built a studio specifically for Lue Kane in his backyard. Yetti, CEO of Woop Something Records, took Lue Kane under his wing and began working with him. Hurricane Lue, another nickname, began ripping thru the streets of Pensacola. He began writing more and performing more. As both the momentum and impact of Hurricane Lue began to increase, the storms truly began to come. Left and right everyone began being sent to prison or even worse, dying. Lue Kane knew that he had to make it out of the streets of Pensacola. Lue Kane teamed with Yetti and Jit and made a song called "Major Moves". A week later, both Yetti and Jit were arrested and our currently spending time in a Federal Prison. Although Lue Kane had finished his album, he had no one helping him to put it out. Lue Kane began doing mixtapes with other area artist, such as Big Love of RedDott Entertainment. The streets were loving him. His song "50 Deep", originally "Throw Em Up" has been deemed one of the hottest tracks out of Pensacola. Nic at Nite of 93BLX has been playing it for nearly two years. One day, Lue Kane thanked him and Nic replied, "I don't need a thank you. I play good music. 50 Deep is good music." Lue Kane just released his long awaited debut album, The Ride ...
