$13.59 FIXED is the remix EP companion to 1992's BROKEN, featuring new versions of "Wish" and "Happiness In Slavery."
The companion piece to Trent Reznor's explosive industrial rock / metal opus Broken, Fixed sees the songs twisted through an intense remix process that makes them even darker than the original doom rock creations they began as. With contributions from noted studio experts like J.G. Thirlwell, Coil, Butch Vig, and Reznor himself, the more industrial versions of these guitar-themed tracks appear in a completely new light. The mixes range from sinisterly quiet to more beat- and drum-oriented, but they also retain the awesome power of the core compositions. The remix of the Grammy-winning "Wish," for instance, features a lengthy, saturated drum intro, which only gives it more credence when it erupts into the original buzz-saw guitar riff that dominates the track. Other mixes incorporate backwards tapes and difficult-to-pinpoint noise manipulations, but rather than building the songs to the point where things grow tedious, they tend to completely tear them apart while adding to the apocalyptic vision that envelopes the original disc. Even though Nine Inch Nails was thrust into the mainstream spotlight, this record shows the group returning to its roots and creating a daring new translation of songs that were pummeling from the start. Alongside "Wish," both "Gave Up" and "Happiness in Slavery" are given a few new readings, and while they are nowhere near as direct as the vicious attack of Broken, Fixed is still an impressive feat and a necessary counterpoint to an important record. ~ Peter J. $24.95 Released after Thom Yorke's acclaimed 2006 album, THE ERASER, the SPITTING FEATHERS EP finds the Radiohead frontman further mining that laptop outing's spare, melancholy vein. In addition to an extended mix of "Harrowdown Hill" (from the aforementioned record), this disc includes intriguing non-album tracks such as the ominously frenetic "Drunkk Machine" and the skittering "Iluvya," which, like many Radiohead B-sides, reveal that Yorke has plenty of great material to offer outside of his standard full-length offerings.
Japanese-only enhanced CD EP (packaged in a mini-LP sleeve) from the Radiohead frontman featuring six audio tracks plus two enhanced videos. Although Radiohead began life in the midst of the Britpop scene of the '90s, Yorke's distinctive vocal tones set the band apart from their contemporaries and they have continued to blossom with each enthusiastically-received release. On his solo album, The Eraser, Yorke took the arty, electronic side of Radiohead ...

$7.99 This is a hybrid Super Audio CD playable on both regular and Super Audio CD players.
One of the finest examples of decadent and tribal rock & roll, "Sympathy for the Devil" features Mick Jagger luxuriously slipping into the persona of Lucifer and reveling in the role. With its frenzy of percussion and primal shouting, this iconic track even inspired Jean-Luc Godard's film of the same name, which follows the song's 1968 London recording sessions.
Twenty-five years after its release, "Sympathy" gets a tip of the hat from a set of tech-savvy contributors on this seven-song EP. Pop/hip-hop producers the Neptunes apply their trademark sharp beats and thudding bass to two lively, Eastern-tinged remixes that focus on Jagger's sinister vocals, while Big Beat guru Fatboy Slim amps up the piano and percussion on his two boisterous, dance-floor-ready tracks. Of course, nothing can compete with the original recording, a rhythmic, piano-driven, Satanic soliloquy that crescendos with Keith Richards's blistering lead guitar. The ultimate testament to the Stones' reputation as the bad ...
