(iFORANi thanks TRENT REZNOR from NIN for allowing them to do this remix). Susan Boyle I Dreamed A Dream CD  (2009)

Iforani album
CD $9.58  SALE 5 stars Top 10
Susan Boyle's grand unveiling on Britain's Got Talent was with a song from Les Miserables - the very song that lends this album its title -- and if she could become an international sensation based on a show tune standard, there's no reason for her to change her approach on her debut, since that's the sound that made her a star. Plus, a large part of Boyle's appeal is that she's a middle-aged woman recalling a bygone era when there were singers that appealed to an adult audience by offering soft, stately versions of pop hits and standards. That time was the late `60s and early `70s, and apart from a rather faithful version of Madonna's "You'll See," I Dreamed a Dream could very well have been released all those years ago, as it mixes up the show tunes, gospel, and Christmas carols with covers of Skeeter Davis' "The End of the World," the Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses," and a version of "Daydream Believer" that is easily the slowest on record. Boyle sings beautifully throughout, delivering more of the same of what she did in her moment in the sun on television. Those won over by Boyle, either her voice or story, will surely be satisfied. There's no question that Susan Boyle's story is inspiring, but the same adjective can't quite apply to her debut, I Dreamed a Dream. This is almost a willful antonym of "inspiring" -- it is not stirring, rousing, or stimulating, it is sleepy, reserved, and placid, but is that a surprise? Unlike its 2002 predecessor Back in the U.S., Good Evening New York City doesn't cherrypick highlights from a tour, it commemorates a specific event: the inauguration of Citi Field -- the replacement for the now-defunct Shea Stadium, where the Beatles played a legendary show in 1965 -- in the summer of 2009. The circumstances may be different -- different enough to lead to a Billy Joel cameo on "I Saw Her Standing There," the piano man returning a favor from Paul, who played at Billy's Shea-closing shows in 2008 -- and McCartney might have two strong albums of new material to draw upon, but as an album, Good Evening New York City plays a lot like Back in the U.S. with a whopping 17 of its 35 tracks shared between the two titles. More importantly, the vibe is the same, with Macca delivering an expertly balanced and sequenced set with all the skill of the old pro that he is. Apart from the inclusion of "Mrs. Vanderbilt" and "I'm Down," there are no surprises, either in song selection or performance, but no surprises doesn't mean no satisfaction, and this is plenty entertaining Unlike its 2002 predecessor, Back in the U.S./Back in the World, Good Evening New York City doesn't cherrypick highlights from a tour, it commemorates a specific event: the inauguration of Citi Field -- the replacement for the now-defunct Shea Stadium, where the Beatles played a legendary show in 1965 -- in the summer of 2009. Like the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL franchise, GLEE became more than a TV show when several of its songs cracked the Hot 100, including the number four hit "Don't Stop Believing." That song kicks off this soundtrack, the first in a series of albums cataloging the music performed by the show's cast. Not all GLEE members are created equal--some cast mates are far better actors than singers--but this soundtrack has enough star power to keep things trucking along, especially when powerhouse alto Lea Michele takes the wheel. She sounds fantastic throughout, whether she's holding her own during a duet with Broadway queen Kristen Chenoweth or covering the likes of Jordin Sparks, Avril Lavigne, and Queen. The soundtrack is mostly a vehicle for her voice, yet it also gives ample stage time to Matthew Morrison, who downplays his own Broadway career by rapping on two different tracks. Tuneful performances by Mark Salling (the Neil Diamond-loving jock) and former boy band member Kevin McHale (the wheelchair-bound Artie) also point to the fact that GLEE is an ensemble production in disguise, but Lea Michele still receives top billing, as she sings circles around most of the pop stars whose music is featured here. CD $13.19  Top 500 Audio Samples
With a sludgy, chainsaw guitar sound that owes as much to early Black Sabbath as to Kurt Cobain's heroes The Melvins, whose drummer puts in an appearance here, Nirvana emerges from Seattle's underground scene as standard-bearers of a style that embraces the anger and energy of punk alongside the thick, muddy sonic attack favored by early '70s proto-metal bands. Cobain's lyrics are fueled by outrage and self-loathing, combining literary flair with a direct, visceral quality that makes him a viable candidate for the John-Lennon-of-Gen X award. Nirvana's debut album showcases what sounds more like a force of nature than a rock band. The unrelenting fervor with which the group delivers these 13 tunes is almost frightening. There is also a strong melodic flair that leavens the ferocity occasionally, hinting at the scope of Cobain's compositional talents. "Love Buzz" and "About A Girl" show off enough pop smarts to make it clear that as strong as BLEACH is, Cobain's hiding even more tricks up his sleeve. This is one case where the legend really precedes the record itself. Cut for about 600 dollars in Jack Endino's studio over just a matter of days, this captures Nirvana at a formative stage, still indebted to the murk that became known as grunge, yet not quite finding their voice as songwriters. Which isn't to say that they were devoid of original material, since even at this stage Kurt Cobain illustrated signs of his considerable songcraft, particularly on the minor-key ballad "About a Girl" and the dense churn of "Blew." A few songs come close to that level, but that's more a triumph of sound than structure, as "Negative Creep" and "School" get by on attitude and churn, while the cover of "Love Buzz" winds up being one of the highlights because this gives a true menace to their sound, thanks to its menacing melody. The rest of it sinks into the sludge, as the group itself winds up succumbing to grinding sub-metallic riffing that has little power, due to lack of riffs

Pink's insistently hooky, attitude-filled pop-rock has kept the singer a fixture on the radio and on singles charts since the early 2000s. The artist's fifth effort, FUNHOUSE, doesn't tamper with the formula: Pink's powerhouse vocals and in-your-face approach, backed by stadium-sized production, are in full effect on all 12 tracks. Even though the album deals primarily with aftermath of her divorce and includes serious moments of self-confrontation like "Sober," fans needn't worry that Pink has lost any of her chutzpah. If anything, there's an increased sense of confidence and newfound liberation on tracks like the chest-thumping "So What" and the mischievous, bouncing "Bad Influence." In softer moments, like the ballad "I Don't Believe You" and the soulful "One Wrong Foot," Pink channels her personal experience into expressions that carry no less strength or muscle. But FUNHOUSE is a pop album first and foremost, and its catchy choruses, rollicking beats, and memorable vocal performances won't disappoint. Arrangers: Stevie Blacke; Ulf Janson; Henrik Janson. Personnel: Pink (vocals, background vocals); Shellback (guitar, acoustic guitar, omnichord, keyboards, bass guitar, drums, percussion); Pete Wallace (guitar, piano, harmonium, bass guitar, programming); Max Martin (guitar, bass guitar); Eg White (guitars, Hammond b-3 organ, drums, percussion); Jimmy Harry (guitars, keyboards); Peter Parente (guitars); Billy Mann (electric guitar, keyboards, background vocals); Stevie Blacke, Ulf Janson, Stockholm Session Strings, Henrik Janson (strings); Butch Walker (keyboards, percussion, background vocals); Roger Manning (keyboards); Niklas Olovson, Tony Kanal (bass guitar); Josh Kane, Joey Waronker, John Yarling, Darren Dodd (drums); Robin Mortensen Lynch, Daniel Chase (programming); Kinnda Hamid (background vocals). Yule Ritual
Hawkwind Yule Ritual CDs  (2001)

Iforani music CDs
CD $23.29  5 stars Audio Samples
There are so many live recordings of Hawkwind on the market now that words like "best" or "essential live album" simply have lost any signification. The double-CD set Yule Ritual presents the better part of the seminal space rock group's performance at the Astoria (London, England), the venue chosen for its annual year-end show in 2000. The lineup consisted of Dave Brock, Richard Chadwick, Ali, Tim Blake (also of Gong), Simon House, and Jerry Richards. Ron Tree, Mike Moorcock, and Capt Rizz walked on-stage to sing a few songs. Heith Hniveton contributed some EMS synthesizer lines, Jez Huggett touches of saxophone and flute. The whole band was in good shape and positive mood, giving a good, slightly higher than average performance. The set is a cross section of the group's career (three decades by then). Some songs were inevitable and if "High Rise" and "Spirit of the Age" have known better days, "Assassins of Allah" still packs enough energy to make a worthy show-closer and Moorcock delivers an excellent performance in "Sonic Attack." "Hurry on Sundown" (from the group's infancy) and "Space Is Deep" are nice inclusions. In short, good moments abound, there are many examples of interesting jamming, but nothing out of the ordinary and no reason to recommend this live album over other ones. A safe bet. ~ François Couture Recorded live at the London Astoria on the 12th of December, 2000. Featuring a brilliant line up with Dave Brock, Richard Chadwick, Gerry Richards, Simon House, Keith Kniverton, Ron Tree & Tim Blake. 16 tracks including, 'Money Tree', 'Space Is Deep', 'High Rise' & 'Freefall'. 2001. Zachary Ryan
R S Freeson Zachary Ryan CD  (2008)

Iforani music CDs
CD $16.45
Zachary RyanBased on musical works Zachary Ryanby R.S.FreesonZachary Ryan is the story of a covert military soldier. It is the year 2025. “Z” and company are on an assassination mission in the jungles of China. Their assignment is to kill key NPC (National Peoples Congress) member’s resistant to environmental policy changes critical to reducing the devastating effects of global warming. Z and his black ops team are discovered by the Chinese military and are ambushed. Z is the only survivor. Unconscious, he is taken to an interrogation room where samples of his DNA identify him as Zachary Ryan, a convicted felon currently serving a ten-year sentence in a Michigan State Penitentiary. The Chinese military had heard rumors of such an army, but Z is the first one caught alive…He is a Clone. After heated debate, the Chinese NPC decide not to kill Z, but instead to launch a worldwide P/R campaign to return the boy to his home. While looking like great humanitarians, their real intent is to humiliate the United States (whom they believe sent the black Ops team) and divert world attention away from China’s irresponsible environmental policies. Z is claimed by the U.S. government and is returned to the states where he becomes a reluctant media sensation. U.S. president (unaware of secret clone military) wants Z back as a “hero”. The parents of Zachary Ryan recognize Z as their son, and frantically plead for his return. Clone America Corporation wants him back too…but they want him dead. No one was to discover that Clone America had been developing clones for the U.S. secret military for the past 25 years. They are infuriated that Z’s kill code has not engaged. All clones have a capsule implanted in the base of their skulls for remote termination. Z’s isn’t working. Z has been trained, like all clones, to adapt to new environments. Z has never experienced civilian life. He is fascinated with the attention he receives, but he has no way of really connecting to any of it. He views all of this as just another mission. Although hailed a hero at home, world outcry erupts against Z and the use of military clone “assassins” just as the NPC had planned. Z is carefully guarded by U.S. government agents, but is eventually allowed to meet with his biological parents. Although Z is a clone, the Ryan’s feel that this is their second chance to be “good parents”. Their son Zachary was a great disappointment, and has now seemingly lost his mind in prison. They choose to embrace Z as their own with love and care… it’s a feeling Z remembers as a young child. A nurse named Trina gave special attention to him as a baby. Something about Z reminded Trina of her own baby boy who died many years before. Each evening while the other clone babies slept, she secretly held Z for hours at a time. Trina inserted the “kill” capsule into the base of Z’s skull as she did for all clones. This was a fail-safe mechanism in case a clone was captured or tried to escape. When engaged, a chemical reaction breaks down the capsules outer shell, releasing a fatal dose of Ricin into the blood stream. Trina sealed Z’s implant inside a capsule invulnerable to the chemical reaction, thus preventing the toxin from penetrating into his body. Trina told Z about this when he was 12 years old. She also told him that he was a clone, and that he has a flesh and blood brother somewhere on the outside. She warned if he ever revealed this secret, Clone America would have them both killed. All though Z is incapable of love, he does understand sacrifice and loyalty. Z is forever indebted to Trina. Throughout Z’s life, he is especially protective of his fellow clones, as he knows of the deadly implants. It weighs deeply on Z’s conscious and uniquely shapes his personality. It also impacts the way other clones feel about him. They don’t fully understand it, but they sense that there is something different about Z. The other clones respect him for th
