Widescreen; Soundtrack English; Blue Ray HD-DVD John Clark (Richard Gere) has everything going for him: a solid career, a beautiful wife (Susan Sarandon) who is both a career woman and Supermom, two great kids, and a gorgeous house in the suburbs. Still, although he hates to admit it, John wants to be happier. Each night during his commute home on the train, he sees the same woman staring forlornly out the window of a dance school. At last, his curiosity gets the better of him, and John finds himself signing up for ballroom dance lessons. Keeping his new secret life from his wife and family, John joyfully discovers his inner Fred Astaire as he and his new friends prepare for an amateur dance competition. At the same time, dance instructor Paulina (Jennifer Lopez), the woman in the window, finds her own passion for dance again, while John's wife becomes convinced that he is having an affair. Stanley Tucci costars in an hilarious turn as John's coworker who is a closet ballroom dancer--sequins and all. Inspired by a Japanese film, SHALL WE DANCE? is directed by Peter Chelsom (INDIAN SUMMER) and also stars Lisa Ann Walter, Anita Gillette, Bobby Cannavale, and Omar Miller. Excellent movie! Perfect combination of Romance, drama and comedy! Richard Gere has always been one of my favourate stars. All in all a perfect delightfull movie! Submitted by Ben (Scotland) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.
Dance infused with Romance This movie, I thought was just wonderful! It has great dance scenes, full characters and a breathtaking romantic back drop. There is something to be said about how to make a beautiful film look beautiful, and the director certainly succeeds here. Richard Gere is believeable as a bored husband who wants more out of life, and Susan Sarandon lights up the movie with her character as an average woman who is fulfilled but blind to her husbands unhappiness. Jennifer Lopez although I am not a fan, I have to say she was wondeful in the movie and her dance scenes were just spectaular. THE GIRL CAN WALTZ. The movie maintains itself from beginning to end, A definite must see for anyone who loves dance and music. Submitted by Kristy (Marshfield, MA,USA) Was This Review Helpful? Shall We Dance? film
$13.39 Singer Eva Cassidy achieved posthumous fame with SONGBIRD, an anthology of her finest moments. During her lifetime, however, Cassidy made a name for herself in Washington, D.C., where she lived and regularly performed. LIVE AT BLUES ALLEY captures Cassidy in her element running through a list of standards like "What a Wonderful World" and contemporary favorites like "Bridge Over Troubled Water."
While Cassidy's choice of material might seem somewhat stock, her singing is anything but. Her clear, guileless voice dazzles in both its technical facility and its emotional expressiveness, and ...

Shall We Dance? movie DVD
$11.35 Comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham hits the stage with hilarious new pals Achmed the Dead Terrorist and Melvin the Super hero, as well as old favorites Peanut, Walter, and Jose Jalapeno, in this sidesplitting performance at Washington D.C.'s Warner Theater.
More than just a stand-up comic, Jeff Dunham is a one-man comedy troupe--a ring-leader in a circus of snark. The veteran ventriloquist may be the only one with vocal chords, but he’s often the least vocal, playing straight man to a steam trunk of personalities: Achmed the Dead Terrorist, a goofball skeleton still fighting the infidels; Peanut, an odd purple creature with a fast mouth; Jose Jalapeño, a smooth-talking pepper on a stick; Bubba J, NASCAR’s biggest fan; and Walter, a dirty old man who speaks his mind. Together with his hilarious and irreverent puppets, Dunham riffs on everything from politics to family life, and slays the audience with his quick-witted banter. SPARK OF INSANITY features one of Dunham’s funniest performances, recorded live at Washington D.C.’s Warner Theater.
Jeff Dunham has become one of the most successful touring comics ...

Mycroft Holmes (Richard Roxburgh) is sent by the British government to round up various figures from Victorian-era literature in an attempt to find some solution. First on the list is explorer Allan Quatermain (Sean Connery), quickly installed as leader of the ramshackle outfit. Among the plethora of mythical figures joining Quatermain are The Invisible Man, Captain Nemo, Jekyll and Hyde, Dorian Gray, and many others. Shall We Dance? DVD
$30.39 Standup comedian Dane Cook (EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH) stars in this romantic comedy as Charlie Logan, a successful dentist cursed with the affliction of having the women he dates fall in love with the next guy they meet. After a 1985 flashback reveals how, as a child, Charlie came to be hexed, the film finds the grown bachelor taking advantage of his predicament. Because he's never really loved any of the women he's dated, it doesn't hurt much when they leave. But when rumors start circulating that sleeping with Charlie is a lucky love charm, Charlie's popularity reaches new heights that even he, an experienced ladies' man, cannot keep up with. And this luck couldn't come at a worse time, as Charlie's just met his dream girl, penguin zookeeper Cam (Jessica Alba). Perhaps in Charlie's favor is the fact that Cam, despite her beauty and brains, happens to have a hex of her own--extreme clumsiness. Everywhere she goes, minor disaster quickly follows. Will Charlie be the next casualty of her accident-prone charm?
While GOOD LUCK CHUCK revolves mainly around a sweet and simple romance, it contains enough one-liners to amuse fans of Cook's standup routine. Though conversations between Charlie and ...

Shall We Dance? review
$31.09 David E. Talbert makes his directorial debut with this comedy about Durell (Ice Cube) and LeeJohn (Tracy Morgan), childhood friends with a knack for getting into trouble. Despite his continual bad decisions, Durell gets one thing right: he's a good father to his adolescent son. When he learns that the boy's mother, his ex-girlfriend, Omunique (Regina Hall), needs $17,000 to buy her beauty shop or she'll leave Baltimore and move to Atlanta, he's determined to get her the money to keep his son in his life. Meanwhile, LeeJohn needs big money fast to pay off some bad guys. Durell and LeeJohn decide that the collection plate of their local church holds the answer to their money woes. But their attempt to rob the church is foiled in progress: the money is already missing, and the would-be burglars didn't realize there would be people at the church. Finding themselves with a group of parishioners and choir members at their mercy, Durell and LeeJohn have to make some decisions about exactly what kind of men they want to be.
FIRST SUNDAY also makes a statement about the role of the church in urban areas and its importance within the community. Keith David is Deacon Randy, who has grandiose plans for moving the church to a "less urban" neighborhood. Chi McBride stars as Pastor Mitchell, and Malinda Williams is his strong-willed daughter, Tianna, who wants First Hope Community ...

Shall We Dance? video
$25.05 From his casual charm to his cleft chin, George Clooney has frequently drawn comparisons to an actor of another age: Cary Grant. With his third directorial effort, the Oscar winner pays homage to the style of films that helped make Grant famous, such as BRINGING UP BABY and HIS GIRL FRIDAY. In 1925, when LEATHERHEADS takes place, professional football is a joke, especially when compared to its more respected college cousin. Teams across the country are folding, and player Dodge Connelly (Clooney) will do anything to keep his own team, the Duluth Bulldogs, from folding. The enterprising (read: scheming) Dodge steals Princeton star and war hero Carter Ruthford (John Krasinski, THE OFFICE) from his school, and soon the Bulldogs are winning, but it's the game of football that is the real champion as fans pack the stadiums. Meanwhile, reporter Lexie Littleton (Renée Zellweger) begins investigating Rutherford's past, thanks to a tip from one of the star's old war buddies that he may not be all he seems. The pre-regulation football is dirty, but it's far cleaner than the action when Dodge and Carter vie for Lexie's affections.
From the classic Universal logo that opens the film, Clooney firmly sets his film in the sepia-toned past. His lightning-fast dialogue is certainly reminiscent of the repartee between Grant and costars such as Katharine Hepburn and Rosalind Russell. ...
