This game is almost the best racing simulator ever.
The Pros:
Amazing cars. Murcielago, Zonda, NSX, DBR9, among others. The graphics are really beautiful (apart from the scenarios), the replays are incredible and the new "flashback" feature is really handy if you are playing a long race. You get a lot of tracks, different types of competition and different classes of vehicles. You can even run the 24 hours of Le Mans, using 24 HOURS AS RACE DURATION! You don't get car control like in games as F1 and GT, but it's not arcade-like as NFS, so I think it's still a racing simulator (just like DIRT).
Really, a must have for any racing game lover.
The Cons:
There are minor flaws, like the artificial intelligence: you can't drive properly, the other drivers are always hitting you, so you can't get a clean race, making it impossible to drive in Pro Mode in the extreme difficult setting(no races restarts).
The other flaw is that the menu is a little confusing (the "Time Trial" game mode is in the GRID world menu, which you will have access only later in the game).
Another flaw is the controller: if you play using the normal sixaxis or dual shock 3, you'll get frustrated with the sensitivity. They are too sensitive, which is very annoying. Although, playing this game with a steering wheel (G25, Driving Force GT) is AWESOME.
And, the last flaw, the sounds of the engines are not as real and loud as you expect: even the muscle cars, when you drive with the "Head Camera" on, they sound like Toyotas Pryus. You barely can hear the sound.

Great physics engine.
Good mix between an arcade racer and realistic driving.

The graphics and the way you work on your career with challenges in different areas of the world is great. I would give this game five stars if the car handling and AI would be more realistic. Codemasters earlier games (TOCA driver games) I thought had better handling. Also, the engine sounds could be better.
