Ever growing, ever changing, ever adapting, never standing still; this is the philosphy of The Exploration Project. We are not like all those other musicians or bands. Every one of our performances have original music and we never repeat our music from one performance to another. We are totally new each time we play. With us, nothing can be taken for granted. Now with the release of this its 12 Cd and the 3rd in a trilogy of live performance Cds, The Exploration Project takes on new ground. With the addition of the poetic genius of Matt Posner and the visual landscapes of Artist in Dialogue painter Eric Henty, who has designed our cover art from one of the landscapes he did during our live performance on December 8 of 2007, The Exploration project becomes more intellectually stimulating than ever! Let's not forget our other great members; Jorge Caballero, considered to be one of the greatest virtuoso classical guitarists in all the world and the sonic genius of Jon Margulies on various electronic effects and electric guitars. Then of course there is me, Scott Rifkin; the organizing factor, conceptual artist and sneaky performer on synthesizers and ten string electric guitar. It is best if I remain modest. None of the musical tracks have been edited or reworked. Much of the verbal dialogue between tracks were edited out; so that what you are left with is almost 60 minutes of non stop music. As ussual, the track titles serve as a guide to the music played. This is certainly not fluff music or entertainment. We don't play that kind of stuff! Although the music present here might sound different than the maintstream stuff, I assure you that every fragment of this music was performed with a specific purpose. **************************************************************************************************************** I have taken the additional liberty of Signing/Intialing and have Numbered the first batches of this Cd for you. Stay tuned for more information about this event. ****************************************************************************************************************** Eric Henty, our landscape painter, who additionally designed the Cover Art for this Cd will be having an Art show in Soho, NYC at The Broome Street Gallery- 498 Broome Street, NY, NY, 10013. The show will be from Feb 12 to Feb 24th. The reception to meet the artist will be on Feb 16th from 1pm to 5 pm. Here it is, VH EMBRYONIC MAN features poems adapted from Inv0cation, Variations on the Carmen Arvale. URBAN LANDSCAPES features poems adapted from Fathers in Literature and the Hanumanchalisa. ************************************************************************************************************************ The Cd disc of this Cd should say December 8th, 2007 not December 8th, 2008. ************************************************************This Cd should not be played at low volumes. It is sonically designed to be played at a level of 5, 6, 7 on a volume scale of 0 to 10.
