Barcelona-based psychobilly crew Calamitiez was formed when members of two competing bands--who both wanted more rockabilly with their punk and more punk with their rockabilly--decided to join forces. Combining the driving rhythmic thump of the upright bass with abrasive, country-tinged guitars, the band ably holds their own with the velocity-driven, full-throttle energy of hardcore punk--a sound which the group pays homage to on their blistering cover of the Ramones' "Pet Cemetary." Recording information: 12/2007. Urban Legends CD music contains a single disc with 13 songs.
