Like Raphael Saadiq of Tony! Toni! Tone!, Mint Condition found a way to evolve with R&B. On 2008's E-LIFE, released 16 years after the harmony group's Top 10 moment, "Breakin' My Heart (Pretty Brown Eyes)," the five men from the Twin Cities incorporate elements of nu soul while retaining an impassioned `80s smooth pop center. The balance is neatly displayed on the two standout tracks as the always welcome Anthony Hamilton drops by on the funky "Baby Boy Baby Girl" and they channel the Deele on the mesmerizing ballad "Right Here."Vibe (p.66) - "[Anthony Hamilton] joins in on a bluesy ode to the virtues of fatherhood on 'Baby Boy, Baby Girl.' This is music for the soul by the soulful." Mint Condition E-Life Songs Purchase E-Life CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Isley Brothers Baby Makin' Music CD (2006)

| | Doors Soft Parade CD (1969) Gold; Remastered
E-Life CD music
$14.42 Dismissed by the benighted as the Doors' "pop album," SOFT PARADE is one of the band's most adventurous recordings, utilizing strings and horns without resorting to schlocky over-production and moving far beyond their blues roots. Morrison was fully into his shaman phase by 1969, and his obsession with that image is reflected in the proselytizing ...

E-Life music CDs
$36.09 "911" was nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.
Wyclef Jean's sophomore album ECLEFTIC begins with a phone conversation between label executive Tommy Mottola and him. In the skit, Mottola is yelling for another Fugees album, which has been the sentiment of most Fugees fans--they've been waiting for the trio's follow-up to their multi-platinum album, THE SCORE. Wyclef answers with yet another individual, glowing musical contribution.
ECLEFTIC blends a variety of musical influences, mixing reggae, rock, and pop into 'Clef's own brand of hip-hop. He answers the Fugee questions with "Where Fugee At," and addresses political issues with the heartfelt "Diallo." He also stretches hip-hop boundaries by using both the wrestler The Rock on the chorus of "It Doesn't Matter," and country star Kenny Rogers in a skit. If ECLEFTIC doesn't move its listeners, no Fugee album will.

$18.99 Randy Sabien began his musical career in fourth grade growing up in Rockford, IL. His original aspiration was to be a rock and roll drummer but when the orchestra came up short on strings and he wound up with a violin in his hand instead of drumsticks. Undaunted, he taught himself to play the guitar and was soon jamming in 60s garage bands while learning to play violin in the orchestra. By the time Randy went on to study classical violin in college, he had already begun his alternative education in earnest pouring into artists like Papa John Creach (Jefferson Airplane), Sugarcane Harris, and Vassar Clements. A seminal event happened when Randy went to an Asleep at the Wheel concert. One of the fiddlers recommended he check out the French, swing-era jazz violinist, Stephane Grappelli. Putting the needle down on It Don’t Mean a Thing was the defining moment for Randy’s career. He found his niche and began teaching himself to play jazz and blues ...
