Four and a half Stars!! Young jazz star Esperanza Spalding is amazing: she can sing, she can play a blazing upright double bass, and she is an effective, engaging composer.

The album is very musical with a wide range of sounds. The fact that it has such a wide range of sounds makes it hard to get that total album vibe.
